Was your friend on the pill? If she was, then she was not dumb like some people are stating. Accidents happen and nothing is 100%. It may have been a time in her life that bringing a child to the world would have made her suicidal, crazy, judged by her family/friends, etc. Choosing to have an abortion is not easy either, many people say that is does not harm the female body physically, and if this is true, great I guess, but I think that the mental damage should be of concern. It is a quick, short-term fix, but the long-term is not really considered.
I understand that it is not the best reason to do something like this, but I think one would have to be in the situation to see what decision would be made and of course where in life one is at and where you may want to go in the future. Now, with that being said, if your friend is not on the pill nor any bc, she needs to get her tubes tied or something. Or simply abstain. There are ways that she can "take care" of her needs herself.

I was not seeing it that way. I got this letter from a good friend of mine. I also had an ex and this letter changed her mind about having an abortion. She now has a strong little boy and a great husband that loves her. I don't need to tell you this; but she was the woman I loved with all my life and she wanted to have the abortion to be with me. I read this letter to her and I asked her to give the kid and the dad a chance. If it didn't work out, I will always be there waiting for her. Now she has a happy family that she wouldn't change for anything in htis world. I lost her, but she is happy.

I am who I am because of all the experiences that I've gone thru. My voice of opinion reflects what I experience and what I've seen my friends go thru. In simple words: I do NOT believe in abortion: If you're man/woman enough to have sex, protect yourself and be ready for the posible consequences. As a consequence, pregnancy is not the worse thing that could happen. There are worse things as STDs such as AIDS! I am not too religious but totally don't believe in abortion! If abortion was readily available many years ago, many of us may not even be here. It's a personal decision and views from each side can be strong - one of many issues where there is no happy middle of the road to meet.

Who told your friend that she will not be able to have anymore children if she has one more abortion? Was her family doctor? I have a friend that has had a couple and they never told her that. Also you should tell ur friend that this is not a form of birth control.
They also have the morning after pill which you can take 2 days after having unprotected sex. you can get them at clinics, doctor and I think that they are available at the pharmacy.
I hope she takes care of herself. She may regret it later.

Chula if she just keeps on using abortion as a form of birth control then maybe she should just be sterilized i mean were in the year 2005 its not like there arent forms of birth control out there go to a sex clinic and they give it to you cheaper or even fro free!!
