@ Chi: YEAAHHHH HERE WE GO AGAIN... LOL.. But MOSTLY to play devil's advocate and to put forth the views of the TRADITIONAL Catholic church:
on "AGAINST a womens right to choose " If it's in reference to the right to choose to end a pregnancy - How about the right of that baby? Ohh no, another new debate... not a baby only a fetus? Does a fetus have rights too?
on "AGAINST CIVIL RIGHTS OF GAYS AND LESBIANS" Lesbians and gays still have other churches and countries where they CAN get married. If your church doesn't believe/support your sexual prefference you don't need to take part in it.
on "AGAINST BIRTH CONTROL " I am with you on that - with AIDS and how hard it is to raise kids, one needs it. But the church goes on the side that SEX is not to be used for pleasure, only for procreation.
on "should I go on" - No need. A church's values are not there to mirror the values of the world. Although some of us may see the need for some changes, the church is not there to change as peoples' views change. At least I don't think any church of any religion should change drastically to accomodate it's followers. Shouldn't the followers be the ones who choose whether they want to belong the church or not? It is still our choice on all that we choose to do in life.
One thing is for certain NO CHURCH will EVER satisfy everyone!

YOUR FAVORITE PAPA and all you admire is his stance on communism?????
So share your views on these issues since they are what this POPE stands for after all your post is about him.
Another thing you have no idea who or what I am or what I have been through so cut the "daddy" bull**** out. You are avoiding giving your opinion on the other issues at hand that is all....

I would like to quote something I read about the Pope, that I find it very inspiring and real. Let us all hope that the next Pope continues this mission and the people of Venezuela, Brazil and Uruguay don't suffer what others suffered. This journalist explains quite well.
Porfirio Cristaldo A. AIPE
