This is so true, I have read the gospels but the other stuff nope ... and I know that it also tells you alot of things to come ... that kinda stuff scare me, I rather know when it happens not ahead of time siempre y cuando no pueda hacer nada para cambiar lo destinado....
Malachy prophecies are kept in high respect in Vatican City, while they of course are not admitting it. The name of John Paulus II, "de labore solis", has many meanings: - He came from the East Europe - He travelled the world many times - He also asked for pardon for the prosecution of Galileo
The next Pope will be "de gloria olivae". The meaning is simply "olive tree glory". Of course olive tree has many meanings too: - It's widely cultivated in Italy. He can be from one of those counties known for olives. - He can come from the Benedictine monks. Their symbol is the olive tree. - Olive tree is a symbol of peace: he can be very involved in promoting peace. - Last, his surname can contain the word "Oliv" as many italian surnames, or his cardinal sign can have an olive tree inside. I looked for the cardinal signs but I've found no images on the Net.
My guess? Cardinal Lustiger from Paris, France: he is a benedictine. Or cardinal Martino, President of Justice and Peace Vatican Committee.

YEP no difference to me.....I agree!!!!
It would be nice to see a less conservative POPE! The stand the catholic church takes on some issues are just plain stupid and change would be nice. It will never happen but it would be nice!!!

I actually heard that they may even skip the whole Cardinal selection and Keep the top 6 Cardinals as advisors to the Next Pope and select a Priest or Bishop someone younger to keep on going longer and stuff like that but i could be mistaken.
However i would love to see a younger Pope! and not only that but the Cardinals already have the second highest position in the Church and even though it expereience i Think a younger one could also being new views to the Church!!

I totaly agree with you on this. It would be like a new start for sure. Pero let's see what happens.

More than the colour of his skin and where they come from, I'd like to see a forward thinker stepping up to the plate, and in fact, whatever their convictions and politics, I'd like to see someone with leadership qualities, who can be well respected and who has the credibility and moral authority to lead the church. People need someone or something to believe in, and it's more the symbolism rather than what they stand for that matters, in my opinion. On a side note, I'd like the cardinals from Africa and Honduras to possess those qualities. Let's see what happens.

mmmmm No clue....those danm gringos even are good to making cardinals !

Nigeria's Francis Arinze. Imagine a Black Pope and Worlder Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga - I think he's from Honduras.,...very conservative...but he is only 62.... Joseph Ratzinger - German ..he has been working very close to JP Dionigi Tettamanzi - Italian with AWSOME diplomatic Skills and He's close to Opus Dei, the ultraconservative Catholic group..... Godfried Danneels ..He is Extremely liberal...Who knows
Well, so the pope has now died (and he's in a better place). I've read a lot about the man he was this weekend, and he was a truly remarkable man, firm in his convictions, whether people agreed or disagreed with his beliefs and his stand on things. He was very well respected by all, believers and non-believers, and his becoming the pope was quite controversial and not at all expected at the time when it happened. So I'm wondering now who the next pope will be. He made it a point to name cardinals from places where there weren't many before. In fact, one of the favourite candidates is a black priest from Africa. There's also a few cardinals from Latin America, although it may go back to tradition and be an Italian pope. Any thoughts on this?
