can ne1 reccomend a good resort in Punta Cana? I've been to Mayan, Puerto Plata, and Varadero but never to Punta Cana. All reviews in Tripadvisor are horrible btw, most of them from Canadians, go figure!

AC had the same discount going to Santiago back in Nov, they were trying to match LAN, although LAN flights tienen escala en NYC... Who knows if they'll bring it back for Stgo flights again.

That's true, BUT also, I think this is some sort of special, because I had checked late last week or over the weekend (I forget) and it was much more expensive.
Comparable dates were about $1100 or so

what dogo is saying is true, i know because fea just left for argentina and it was a big diff in price if she left now than just before xmas.

(Yes on the AC website. Prices are good through most depart and Arrival dates in Jan and Feb. I haven't checked past those dates)

On a similar topic..... if anyone is interested in traveling to Buenos Aires, Argentina... Aparently Air Canada has a special (don't know for how long) @ $720, direct flight. All taxes in. That's the cheapest I've ever seen it ever.
