Ok so after reading everyones comments here are mine

1) I DONT CARE IF IT WAS A FIRECRACKER OR NOT POINT IS IT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT AND WHEN YOU IMPORTANT PPL LIKE MRP REPS AND FITO BLANKO YOU CANT AFFORD THIS KIND OF TROUBLE!!!!! SECURITY SHOULD HAVE SEARCHED EVERYONE!!! NOT JUST A SELECTED FEW!!!

2) EVERYONE BLAMES THESE YOUNGE THUGS AND BS CUZ THE NOISE HAPPENED IN THE 19+ SECTIONS -SAYS ALOT ABOUT OUR 19+ CROWD!!!

3) YES DIAMANTE WAS KILLING IT LETS NOT FORGET THERE WERE STILL TWO DJS LEFT AND ALSO MOST OF THE DJS DID NOT KNOW THE EQUIPMENT BUT REGARDLESS

MUCH RESPECT TO THE DJS THAT DID GET TO PLAY THERE SETS CUZ THEY PLAYED INFRONT OF A CROWD AND EVENTHOUGH NERVOUS I DONT THINK ANYONE OF US COULD DO IT!!!

CODE BLUE DID ORGANIZE IT NOW SHOULD WE BLAME THEM HELL NO!!!! CAN THEY LEARN FROM THIS YES!!!!!

after it is all said and done, there's gotta be a team of Promoters, Dj's and Entertainers out there that cut's the "BS" and places there attention on improving the Latin "Urban" scene in Toronto, put aside the fame for a minute and let's deal with not only serious issues like Violence but also the Professionalism, Security and over all Enjoyment and Comfort for guests who make everthing possible. I know for a FACT the there is a group in the works..... look out for BooggieNitesEntertainment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that's gay that you throw the blame directly on Code Blue. Sure the organizers are partly to blame, but you gotta look to the source of the problem....these little wannabe thugs. I think judging on the people that were there, that someone was just trying to show off. Most of the fights we see are simply caused by the pressure the punks go through to look good by doing the wrong things. I'm pretty sure this firecracker d!ck feels good about himseld and as I type this is laughing about it with a homie.

But as for the previous post stating that this looks bad for sponsorship I couldn't agree more. Organizers have to get their sh!t straight. Spend that extra money for tighter security and the safety of the clientele YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR!!!

This event was a good example of how unprofessional most latinos in the entretainment community are here.

SECURITY WAS WAY TO SOFT. The door ppl would only check u ones after u paid ur $12. No metal detectors just a light tickle under ur arms and ur in. After that u were free to walk in and out of the place in case u wanted to smoke a cigarette or get a gun from ur car. BULL****, CRAP, M!ERDA PROMOTERS!!!! Event organizers and venue owners are responsible for the safety of the ppl in their place including their staff and themselfs. Why do they continue to take security for granted. Unacceptable.

It's been said b4, but when sh!t like this happens it seriously brings us down. Let me say it in words that even some low ass toothless-hoe-pimps and dope slinging pandilleros like Code Blue/3rd-World can understand: When potential sponsors and ppl of influence hear about things like this in our community and ur events they will no longer want to sponsor ur event or do business with YOU. Worst of all is that your lack of professionalism and responsibility is Fu'ck!ng up the scene for the rest of us.

Not only do Code Blue mess things up with sponsors and industry ppl but with the under 19 ppl that came out and their parents. If you're doing an all ages event you have to start early and not at 12:30 AM. For the most part, the young kids that come out have to be home at reasonable times. Some of them may even have to be home by midnight or earlier.

So...what'r the day-after-the-shooting-at-an-all-ages-latino-event????

1. mainstream perspective of latinos is yet again dragged thru the mudd

2. Parents won't let their young kids go to latin hip-hop/reggeaton events

3. People are not gonna go to latin Hip-hop events cuz they don't feel safe

Let's look bak into past Code Blue events/violence:

Code Blue CD release party: Young kid gets swarmed by group in parking lot. Some say it was a gang innitiation for a new member.

Riviera Regime Cd release party: while this was not a code blue event they did perform. Young Panamanian guy is stabbed to death.

the competion started at like 12ish then there was 3 djs before diamante and each dj had like 10 min to do there thing so it happend like at 12:40 - 12:50, but ya i agree there needs to be another event to see who really one!

dude obviously u werent at the event cause it was no competition Diamante had that won, maybe it was those other djs that were scured they were gonna loose.

Yeah this event was awesome... all the djs did a great job especially the guy playing before the competition actually started... anyways good job third world but i think there needs to be another event to determine the winner because of the firecracker the event was not able to go on so I think everyone would love to see who comes out on top!

Hey people... I was at this thing too and this event was off the hook! It was not a gunshot it was a firecracker. They found the paper from the firecracker so no worries it was not a gunshot... Yeah maybe Charlie Moet lit the firecracker because his djs were about to loose... Thats what I heard but it defintely was not a gunshot so dont worry people.

ya it was in the 19+ section, i was in the all ages section and suddenly i herd a shot and everyone starts scrambling and walking towards the exit really fast. And this man comes running out of the 19+ holding something in his hand i didnt see a gun buttt it looked really strange, then the security guard tried to stop him but he ran out and he started chasing him up out in to the parking lot.

MORE SECURITY!!! that was a close call

MY boy didnt even get searched!!

when this happened DIaMAnTE WAS KIlLIN IT!!!

hands down diamante won or was winning at the time, but props to all the djs they were good too!

toronto is growing and the latin djs are gettin better and better keep it up.!

Tighter security fa sho but in my opinion Diamante killed that hands down,gamboa was aight but he just let the whole record play and made like 2 mixes, i went to the event impartially but like i said diamante sound murked that.

This event will be off the hook, but I'm sure that there will be another competion that is not hosted by Third World and can Include Dj Nash and also other talents. Hope to see that soon.

This competition is something different.. I think Mc Crazy Carlitos and Third World Entertainment have an amazing idea here.. Im sure this night is going to be awesome and I hope there will be a dj competition every year.. Is there still going to be a dance off for those of the people who cant dj and would like to show there dancing talent? I think that would really add to the night.. anyways Im looking forward to March 24th it should be entertaining.

I think it kind of sucks that it's all ages but if you think about it there is a 19+ section so we can all just chill i there.... the competition sounds so amazing i think it outweighs the fact that its all ages... This sounds like it will be an amazing night... good luck to all the djs and props to mc crazy carlitos and third world entertainment for organizing such a great event!

I STILL hate that it is all ages and I am not crazy about the location but I am going to go to check out the DJ's and I am anxious to see who will win.

The mercado is going threw renovation. Cocodrilo has had $25 000 dollar facelift and there is new ownership. There will be uniform police officers there that day. And Johns tight security team will be well equipt to handle the crowd. Support the community this is an event for you.

raggaton is crossing over its our chance to unite, represent and lead in this industry.

See you all there there will be lots of giveaways for everyone.
