It was an alright night.  But way too rushed.  I think experience is gonna teach you that an mc should never seen rushed up on a stage.  The sound was a little loud for most preformers but clear.  Way to go Toronto Hispano  i appriciate what your doing here.  Yet i think you should study your community a little closer to find out more details on who the peoples choices are.  I had to pay cover and the drinks were no less.  The preformers were not paid.  So this was a fund raiser?  Well you gotta eat too right?  Ok  Im ok with that.  There was no parking.  There are so many awsome latino venues with free parking.  There was no banners up on the walls advertising anything besides the venue and the people that probided the sound.  I think torontohispano.com should have been center stage.  It seemed to me that it turned out to be a celebration of someones birthday rather than a celebration of a company.  Congradulations and i wish you success for many more years to come.  I also call a toda la gente latinoamericana que apollen ah esta web site that is ours tell your friends and family to go on.  We can only benefit as a community. Thank you.

Well, Thank you TH for the invitation and for including us, foro geeks, in what was truly a spectacular night of amazing performances. It was also good to put faces to the people behind TH, since this has been our hang out for the past few months. I was actually hoping to put some faces to the people I chat with all the time here, but how do ask somebody that? So I was wondering all night "I wonder if this is..." or "Could this be..." But there was no way to know.

TH, you guys are doing great work and I hope you continue to have great success. Last night's show was great.

As for the performances, I enjoyed every single one of them (I just love music so much). There was something for everyone, all tastes and all ages. I must say, I was extremely impressed with Marcelo Treviņo, but maybe that is because that's the kind of music I enjoy the most. And note to Fito and Sensei and their people: Did anyone check out Marcelo's eye candy? She plays the bass and she's damn good at it. Other eye candy included the singer and the trumpet player for Plan C. To all those eye candy wannabes, I think this is the way to go: learn how to play an instrument or learn how to sing!!!

Anyhoo, I loved Marcelo's set and I think we foro people owe him an apology because a lot of us have dissed him to no end over here. And I think he's making us proud. Excellent job last night. Alex Bello, always great (I wish he'd played later in the night to dance to his music); Shantall, amazing as always, even though she was sick as a dog (bronchitis); Ricky Franco, finally got to see him live and I can totally see what all the fuss and craziness surrounding him is about: he's a sweetheart with an incredible voice; Carlos Cruz, who's a pro in every sense of the word. I honestly didn't expect to like this guy so much 'cause I'm not big on bachata but he was SENSATIONAL and VERY charismatic (one of the best of the night, IMHO); but my props go to my favourite performance of the night (although I'm biased on this one 'cause they were my favourites to begin with). Plan C are just the best and I hope they go far, far in their career. I love their style of music, the chances they take with their fusions, their presence on stage; they're fun, talented and I just love their music. All in all, a great night.

Hummm that kind of sucks!  As far as performing free i think that they should afterall like Bainaman said they get LOTS of FREE promotion on this site!  I do think that if he was scheduled to play and went all the way there than it's kind of dumb that he did not get to perform.....

F.Y.I.

None of the performers got paid.

I guess T.H. figuered that the artists would only be so glad to perform for a site that continously supports them.....

I'm sure there is more to it than just the $$$$

I've worked with 'G' before and I was really looking forward to their performance.....

Does anyone know when Tumbao will perform next?!?!?

I loved all the LIVE performances: Alex Bello and his New Bachata, MC PUPPET with his new Reggaeton Flow, Marcelo Treviņo (winner of the Best Latin Alternative Album -INDIE award)...we're happy Shantall made it (she was sick but regardless she performed great) and she was the first to sing a special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to RICKY FRANCO on stage! ....who by the way, also performed "mi amiga la soledad" and his new Balada "Porque te vas con el".....special surprise of the evening had to be Carlitos Cruz since he wasn't on the list....charming and entertaining as always! ....and last but not least....PLAN C who stole the show last night (in my opinion)...were incredible!!!

...but why am I telling you guys all this? I'm sure you were there, since the TH FORUM regulars who identified themselves went home with a very special gift bag! ....I'm using the "TH mouse pad" as we speak! LOL

WHAT DID YOU GUYS THINK OF THE NIGHT? THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY? LOL

So where was Tumbao? I was looking forward to their performance....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICKY FRANCO!!!!

Today is his "special"party @ Cervejaria (College & Ossington) and everyone is welcome! (this is a birthday party you don't want to miss....free cake for whoever sings "las maņanitas to him" LOL
