I doubt it. I remember someone I know (Colombian), coming back from Colombia and brought a bag full of huge ants asses (?) Fried or something, and her and her fam going crazy over it. I never tried them. Is this something common in Colombia?
They are sooo good!, but mainly from Santander, no all Colombians like it... but I dunno if because I grow up with it and get use to eat them but there are few things I crave them as much as I crave chocolate..they are very addictive.

I love Hormigas Colonas (or culonas). They are mostly popular in the "province" of Santander, usually around Semana Santa. You eat them tostadas, not fried. They taste like really salty popcorn.
Mental picture: Una hormiga con cara de JLo!
