I have a civic, go for it! Germans make simple things complicated when it comes to cars (as per my mechanic), great resale value too as Dogo stated earlier smile i'm thinking of selling mine and getting a Murano... To be continued biggrin

Both are good cars, but the better of the two is the Civic (ask any mechanic) and for reliability and resale value, I'd stick to the Civic. You can't go wrong (I think they also have better financing rates/deals)
I DO, however, tend to like the look of the Golf a bit more (Not so much the City Golf, though) More "European" styling.
Overall, I'd say Civic

Honda all the way make sure it standard. The vw has to much problems..also make sure you get a car that was manufacture on a wed and not on a Friday or Monday.

Who is good with cars? biggrin would u recommend both? im thinking of getting either one down the road... suggestions? its either a VK or a civic 2008....
