600 dls a week * 52 weeks a year = 31,200 dls a year

I don't think you make that a year..but you mentiones you make 1 buck more right that puts you at 33,280..

Consider that most of the construction workers work 7 days a week that put'em at 43,680, that is 12,480 more than you.

Now consider you pay taxes and by the nature of the construction industry I bet they are not paying as much taxes as you do...therefore they are taking home a bit more than you.

My buddy is in the renovation trade.
He owns his home (paid for) brand new SUV (he paid in full), brand new work truck. Motorcycles. Goes on vacation at least twice a year. Bought an $800Gs home to flip, which he's been sitting on for about a year, because of permit issues (Have any idea what a $800G mortgage goes for??) His wife doesn't work, AAAAND he has 2 ex-wives. He's in his early 30's

Construction is a bi*ch to work at, and if you don't really like or pay attention to detail, you'll suck at it.
However, if you can manage..... the money is friggin ridiculous. Hardly the same than what you could make in an office (unless you're an architect or something)
