I don't follow politics that much, but I believe Obama has the b@lls and expertise to bring the USA back on track. I really like Hillary too bad she lost, but being a smart woman, there must be a reason why she supports Obama. The economy in the states not only affects Canada but many contries. I know many people are getting their investments out of the USA market hasta nuevo aviso.

@ Chuck    True it's about PR but remember that Oprah I think help out Obama a lot by introducing him and sponsoring him.   Was the 20/20 with Katie because yes I did see it.  Palin was awful!  They said they are going to steer her away from interviews.  I would luv to see Palin vs Biden debate.  He would screw her up so bad.

Well the bail out will continue today and it should be interesting if it goes through and the terms attached to it.   A lot of investors are pulling out and I hope not but I think the US based companies might pull back if this doesn't go through.  Remember 911 well I got layed off when that happened and this is much much bigger

McCain is losing votes right now and doesn't seem as credible and worse Palin (running REP for VP).  She doesn't know what the heck she is talking about and no Zero international experience.    I just don't get it why would McCain pick her when they are more qualified people out there?

Well you gotta see who is gonna get the most benefit of the Bail out...not the regualr citizen..they big banker are gonna continue richer.....Sometimes is good to touch bottom.....

If they they green light for the bailout package who is gonna be more affected the regular citizen or the rich banker ??

I think Clinton said it will be costing each citizen about $3, 000 each and it will take another 2 years to get this sorted out.

Obama said he will be there with or without McSame

ok so, he will show up i just read

McCain to show up for debate after all

McCain said earlier this week he would not attend the debate if an agreement had not been reached on a $700 billion bailout plan for Wall Street.

The outcome was up in the air Friday as lawmakers scrambled to agree on a plan.

But by midday, McCain's campaign said the Republican presidential nominee believed enough progress had been made for him to travel to Mississippi to participate in the debate, set for 9 p.m. ET at the University of Mississippi campus.

"He is optimistic that there has been significant progress toward a bipartisan agreement now that there is a framework for all parties to be represented in negotiations, including Rep. [Roy] Blunt as a designated negotiator for House Republicans," the campaign said in a statement.

"The McCain campaign is resuming all activities and the senator will travel to the debate this afternoon."

Both presidential candidates -- McCain and Obama -- returned to Washington Thursday to participate in talks over the bailout package.

If you are I'd like to know how you think the bail out will affect the Canadain economy  and the rest of the world.  How will the US based companies in Canada affect us.

Oh yes and Sarah Palin in on her way to self descruction.  She really bombed the recent interview with Katie.

The bail out wasn't approved. Yes it will affect big time remember that the US is canada's biggest trade partner..

Palin...who is that?? lol

I am not going to give my very clever answer to solve all the problems of the US economy for free. I am waiting for the gringos to approach me with a VERY LARGE $$$ settlement so I can provide them with THE solution to all their troubles.

On a side note, I feel sorry for some of the people affected by this whole mess but I can't help to think that these are the same peopel who elected a monkey as a president TWICE!
