Seriously...you and Danny would make a kick a ss couple!!

Sorry X...but it's true.  They share MANY of the same ideas and views.aww

perhaps it is because we never had **** made for us in a platter...and we know what the real world is ....unlike u perhaps ?

Okay silly first off the saying is having stuff handed to you ON A SILVER PLATTER...but whateves.  You really know NOTHING about me and your assumptions are way off.

Anyway if you know what the "real world" is as you say than what's with your lack of compassion towards others.  You and Princessa share that quality...the LACK of compassion. So if you have struggled for example and now you are doing well that means you can't understand those who still struggle????????  Makes no sense.  BTW I think you are alone on that because accoring to Prinny she has NEVER struggled...not here and EVEN less in Ecua.

@ Chi - as you said it, it really comes down to being compassionate. If somebody is not compassionate and only think about themsleves instead of putting themselves in soemone else's shoes for at least one sec, they are never going to understand your point. I think that unless they open their minds to otehr ideas it does not matter of many perfect point you present, they will not change their mind.

Yes I give money to them.  Why not?

It's their luv.  Anyone who has a luv for something understands that.

I also give to the elderly and homeless.  Dios te da mas!

Sure money is necessary, but it's not like the musicians se estan muriendo de hambre or not making their ends meet somehow. AGAIN: Money isn't everything!

I don't know look up...someone started comparing both shrug.gif

@Danny....sorry someone that knows you said that you did.  I am not saying there is anything wrong with that I am just saying I am sure you don't have some kind of deep passion for what you do right?  Or you wouldn't be on foro all day....same with me.  My point was when people do what they are passionate about it's to be respected.  Don't you think?

BTW the TTC dudes must not do that bad because I know for a fact that it's hard to get a permit from them.  I saw it on BT or something...look it up.

Being a musician IS a job!!!  And even if it may pay less than flipping burgers at McDee's, it is probably much more satisfying 'cause it's what they love to do!.

I guess some people are too slow to understand a simple concept like that.

no you idiot...i just see things differently ....tell me how much do u think a musician with all that talent makes in one day with all the pocket change they get thrown into their case?

as oppose to someone that works for 8$ a day 8hrs at a factory

quien sale ganando fool? ideaideaidea

u can have all the talent..but if u aint making $$ enough then your nothing homie

Money isn't everything in this world... and many of these musicians are not performing in the subway for the money, you fool!  DUUHHH... It's love for music!

haha que kojudo que eres ..what a stupid way of thinking man

so then if they aint performing for the love of money then why do they have their guitar case wide open for change to be thrown in? rofl.gif

u live in a fairy tale world u big phancy ...we r in the 2000's idea without $$ in todays world u aint nothing ...thats the reality mofo

i guess the average poor musician who plays for the "passion" in the subways is better then the next dude who works in construction u know general almost unskilled labour...but has a house and a decent living ideaidea at least

Oh come on Danny who are you to judge?  Like working at a flight centre is the ultimate job or something?

BTW because you have had luck in this life by having a mom who gave you what you needed growing up doesn't mean everyone has that luck.  Some people are born into HORRIBLE situations and never get out of it....girls get raped at home...kids get abused....people turn to drugs....you NEVER know what some random homeless person has seen in this life.  Don't be so quick to judge.

nothing in life is luck life is a stuggle .....ive seen people that were dirt poor and ended up pretty well off.....

if u have that mind frame that ohhh i came from a bad home ..ive been abused  im screwed for life.....u wont get anywhere

Just because they are playing music on the subway, it doesn't mean it's their main source of income.  Most of them likely have a different source of income to cover their bills.  The few dollars that they make any given day are likely far less than they would on an average job... but it's what they love to do and they are happy to do it...  they are not your average street "bum".

I do.  I don't see what is wrong with that.  You need to have a permit from the TTC to perform at their stations.....I find most of them VERY talented.  I always give them money...that's part of how they earn a living.

A homeless person is not always someone who does NOT want to work.  There are a million reasons why someone might end up on the street.  When I feel like someone needs help and I can help them I try to NOT just walk past them.

I do from time to time when I am in the giving spirit and have spare change... Same with the homeless. There are a couple of "homeless/beggars" asking for change at a couple of spots I pass by regularly that do this as a F/T job (or so it seems) - I choose not to give them my change just 'cause it seems that is all they are doing everyday.... Sometimes I feel like telling them to get a job, but I bite my tongue instead. ashamed.gif
