Cilantro?? noooo.
There's no cilantro in Argentinian cuisine. Actually I only found out what it was when I moved here

Okay, then that's not the chimichurri I tried... 'cause it was SWIMMING in cilantro... and I loved it.

Speaking of cilantro, I saw a very good Argentinian film at the TIFF. And shockingly, the director was very sweet, down-to-earth and humble. SHOCKING.

I just recently found out that lol.  Ok what is chimichurri?

So u only use salt for everything?

Yes, pretty much... well BBQd chicken we use salt and lemon... sometimes brusshing it with a bunch of parsley

BTW, the chimichurri sauce recipe you posted... is pretty much right, with the exception of the amount of garlic (sounds like too much) and the red onion (I've never seen it with red onion... or ANY onion. And the olive oil... we just use regular veggy oil) it must be a gringo recipe biggrin.gif

LOL ....yes it is a gringo recipe that is why I asked because not beats the authentic one! biggrin

Where's the cilantro in that recipe?  I thought all chimichurris had cilantro? If not, they should. shrug.gif

I use the "whatever I find in the kitchen" method of making marinades. It works wonders. I have become pretty creative. The only problem is, I can never repeat a recipe, 'cause I never know what I used or how much of something I used.

Do you guys buy your marinades or do you make your own?

I've tried some  recipes but not too happy and end up going back to my mom's seasoning which is amazing and the best yet!   But I want to try something new....

Share your store bought bottle or special marinade!

I make my own BBQ, sala dressings....last night I did this one

You mix a bit balsamic vinager

A bit olive oil

some black peper

and 3 crushed rasperries...

Put your baby spinachs....some pears slices, spread some crushed walnuts

blue cheese and put your own raspberry vinagrette....

yum yum !

I have tried the rasp vinagrette....yup it is good! I usually don't try nuts in my salad but I do like raisins and seeds.
