Did anyone watch Obama last night? He was INCREDIBLE. Oh man, I want him to win.
That was soooo inspiring. It's the only time since I came to Canada that I wish I'd moved to the States instead.... oh, the possibilities. Such an important historical moment.
BTW, McCain just chose his VP... Sarah Palin, Alaska Governor... so if he wins (which I'm afraid is a possiblity) there will at least be a woman vice for the first time ever. And since he's old, she might end up being the first woman president after all.

Actually, Obama choosing Biden (although I agree that Hilary would have been a much better choice) was not such a dumb move.
I think his mentality is that even if they're a bit hesitant about a black president, at least having an old white man in power with him may give some ppl comfort. I dont think many americans are ready for a black president and a woman vice all in one shot. Narrow minded ppl

Obamas first mistake is actually thinking AMERICA is ready for a black president. Cmon, this whole world is run by corporations n racism...no way in hell will we see a black president in our lifetime. All this is just to distract ppl from president bushs leaving quietly. At the end of the day it will be a white president, like it or not Mark my words!
I watched the convention of speeches last night. Amazing how they go all the way...they even had singers perform. I guess no one will know for sure how Obama will do until he gets into power.
I'm really wondering if Hilary would be better than Biden?
Obama is to speak on Thurs and from what I read they are down playing but they caught 3 people I think, planning I guess to assasinate him.
Obama is inexperienced but I'm hoping some change will happen with him in power...starting by pulling back on the troops and ceasing the war!
I read something about that.... some how I'm not surprised tho, I think is just a matter of time before they get him or they at least try to.

Those are the risks along with the job. He is a great public speaker, lots of charisma. Apparently, people from outside the US have accepted him already.

He has made his first HUGE mistake choosing Biden as his run mate.....he would be unbeatable with Hillary , he has compromised to bring together the Dems therefore Clinton followers are willing to vot for John McSame......It was his big first decision and he blew it...
His problem is not being black.....he's very green...
