In high school I was in a music/vocals class and I kept getting lower marks than some of my Canadian friends who were clearly worst than me. When I asked the teacher about it he said that he docked marks because I sang in English with an accent.

When I told him that English was not my first but my third language, he said that it didn't matter,  he said that "Celine Dion is French Speaking and she sings in English without an accent". So I told him that if he hired personal coaches and paid me $10000000 per perfomance like Celine I would sing without an accent as well!
