Ricky, I just heard tu arreglo de Cama y Mesa and I love it! You brought me back. I used to love that music and your version is really good. You have a nice, soft, sweet, lovely voice. I really, really liked this song. Hopefully, when I finally get to see you live, you'll sing that.

First of all, I would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year. I hope it's filled with much joy and all the icing on top...lol. I'm really looking forward to 2005, hoping we all give this year a good shot to unify our community more.
I was surprised to find out that one of the songs I did has reached #2 in ITALY!
WTF?!?!?!?!??!?!? <----yeah, that was my reaction.
Reason being, I've only handed out demo CD's that contained this specific track plus other ones and I haven't publically released an album yet. But SOMEHOW, my bachata re-make of "I Don't Wanna Know" went to #2 in Italy. It's standing on #12 in Detroit and #4 in a separate site in Italy. One of my other songs appeared #16 in Ottawa also. I guess the 'ol school method of making it big is kinda' working. Hey, that's how Aventura made it big by handing out mix tapes/CD's and letting the music speak for itself.
Anyway, besides the Salsa band and Bachata band that I have, I am now starting an Alternative/Soul band as well. First step though is finishing my Bachata album and having it FULLY recorded by yours truly, produced by yours truly and any little hit and note you'll hear on the whole album will be played and sung by yours truly. I don't think anyone has ever done that so I'm looking forward to bringing back the concept of "raw talent" back. All these manufactued artists are becoming something from the past. God willing I can break that barrier.
Please remember to support all of our local talent and stop the hating. We can make things happen as a unified community rather than broken up into little "cliques" here and there.

God Bless!

P.S. Here are the link I've found with the charts (look under "bachata" section in these)
