i had a sandwich before going to my friend house and i told her i had eaten before getting there....but spanish people don't understand that so she served me rice with estofado which by the way didn't look like it. Anyways, i tried but couldn't eat it, so i told her i was full... didn't have the heart to tell her Then i had this nasty taste in my mouth lol Now I'm afraid to eat anything else.

I think the thing I would actually do, would greatly depend on the level of trust I have with the person. If it's a close friend, I'd just tell her/him that I don't like it much; but thank 'em for the invitation anyways.

If dinner wasn`t served yet, I guess I`d make up some excuse like: "I'm not going to eat. I already ate" or something like that. If we were already in the middle of dinner, I guess I'd eat it and bear with it. Or at least eat most of it
