I can definitely count on my family (parents and sis) and a handfull of friends. I like to think i'm pretty reliable and able to be counted on as well.

God and my family...i know i won't be abandoned.  i've helped people with monetary means, as well as non-monetary and sometimes i found when i told the person i couldn't help them they stopped talking to me.

that's right, a lot of people do that, how do you all feel about this?

It use to bother me before but now i understand they are probably frustrated or embarassed so i let it go.  I never bring it up again.  If they want to avoid me for whatever reason I'm ok with that too.

If someone approaches me with the intention to get something I can't or am not willing to give/help them with - and they stop talking to me because of it... I'm better off without the person 'cause it sounds that ALL they were interested in was using me to get my help. weirdface.gif

Friends, acquaintances and colleagues must know that they count on you. If you're not sure, say so. No one will think less of you for being honest (if they do then you don' t really need them in your life). If respect other people's time and needs there will never be that question mark attached to your name. When times are truly tough you don't want someone to turn to you and say 'can I really count on you?'.
Who do you count on the most?
