Simple answer to the question: Smokers how do you feel?

I'm glad they banned it because we smell better and breathe better to live prolonged lives. We don't want to end up with tubes in our throat. I know it's a decision amongst those who still wanna stck to their smoking but frankly, just make it quick and stick your mouth over a car's exhaust pipe because they both emit the same caca "Carbon Monoxide"
And for those pregnant women who smoke? Thank goodness for abortion clinics. Only they should kill you!!!
But it is very sarcastic, the guvernment wants to reduce the amount of smokers, yet it is legal and they raise the taxes to make more money off smokes.
Also, the effects of not smoking in the nightclub industry is big. Molson is slaying 450 employees since the by law came in because people are not going out to bars as much because they cant smoke.
I think the establishment should choose wether or not it is smoking permitted or not, period. And people that go there to work or party, or chill, assume the risk.
Otherwise the government should make a law for tobacco companies to prohibit the use of the additives that make cigarretes addictive. Then people will be able to smoke in peace and they will be able to make more money.
However, the health care industry (cancer specially), as morbid as it may sound, is a humongous industry for the government.
So, the bottom line, is the government is full of C.H.E.E.E.T. in this topic and they are playing the devils advocate for a heck of a lot of money.
As a person who use to smoke a pack and a half a day which I'm please to say that now I just smoke on weekends which I only smoke 8 cirgarettes those two days I agree with Genie it's kind of cheaper if u quit and specially if you can not smoke in clubs now I really don't like the cold it's not a good example for children to see there parent's smoke so that is the reason that i cut down alot, it's true I don't like coming home
Ok This went way beyond where i wanted it to go! But I have to admitt I love coming home from a club and not smelling like an ashtray!! But To be honest i would probably be a smoker if i wasnt allergic right confundida! But i was calculating and it does get pricey but i mean that is totally ur choice right!!
But most clubs have smoking rooms or are in the process of installing one also i know a few english clubs that u can smoke inside cuz they have a ventalation system in place.
Also its your choice to smoke and its nobodys place to tell u when to smoke and when not too

@TV BUFF - Yep, you said it and it's all about respect. I agree that clubs/bars should give patrons an option.
@Confundida - Good that you are choosing what is best for you....unfortuntaly that cuts most latin places off of your list of where to party.
@Princessa - I know you can't predict where smoke will go that is obvious. I meant that I know why these laws are coming into place and it is so that those who do not choose to smoke can have a smoke free enviroment. Yeah, it's all good....just opinions.
I am positng my opinion because that is the topic of the day but I am not one of those people who preach....I don't really care what other people do to themselves.

I gotta say....that this time a really disagree with you.....it's one thing to be a responsible smoker & a different one to show my KIDS this a something good to do. First of all I'm well educated & i know what I will teach my kids to do or not....or what I think is good or not. Plus lets not go to far......It's bad to smoke CIGARETTES, but it's ok to smoke WEED!!!!....please give us a break. Kids will know about it weather I show them or not, it's something they will be exposed to weather I want it or not. Plus when i decided to have KIDS....then I will re-evaluate my position with this matter, untill....i guess i will affect my lungs with Cancer...as you say.
Plus i see many families that smoke & have kids.....that thier kids are NEVER exposed to second hand smoking. It's about being smart & doing it right. As to money issues, well as long as I pay my own bills & don't live off the goverment system & my kids (family) is taken care off....then it's no ones prob. what i spend in. Plus weed is a lot more money...$$$$.

I'm an occasional smoker and I see both sides of the coin: I'm not going to force my habit on someone else, but I also would like to have the choice (i.e. smoking room) or something, because especially in clubs, you have to give the choice to your patrons. Having said that, it's getting really expensive (and this is coming from someone that can keep a pack for a month), and I know it's not easy to quit, especially if you have no desire whatsoever to do so. But there's something called respect and now there's also something called the law, so I try to abide by both. But it also bugs me when non-smokers try to force their beliefs upon me. I don't need anyone preaching and if I want to quit, then I'll try to make an informed decision on my own. Right now, just for financial reasons, it's becoming increasingly tempting to quit altogether.

@ Chilenita..........I never said they are going BROKE!!!! I said if there was a chioce by club or bar owners to make it smoking or not, then most people will be in those permitted ones. The fack that we can't smoke anywhere......dosen't mean I will stop having a life or living and not go out. Also no smokers blows the smoke in anyones face, it's just that enclosed areas tend to keep the air in, so i disagree with ur comment. About enjoying smoking...well you got that one right & Yes it's my chioce & I'm aware of it's damage. I live it up to my consecuences. Nothing is taken personal, so don't worry, I enjoy expressing what I belive or think & i do respect others opinions. So no worry, it's all good.

You are right smoking is YOUR choice so infest your OWN lungs with cancer sticks...don't breath that nasty **** on me if I CHOOSE to worry about getting CANCER.
You have the right to smoke but you DON'T have the right to blow it in our faces. So if it is as wonderful as you say it is than enjoy it in the enclosed somking spaces or outside where you can ONLY harm yourself if that is what you choose to do.

well, I don't smoke and like Chilenita said is gr8 that i don't smell like smoke when I get home from a club. . Like GENIE said is probably cheaper to quit than keep smoking, so think about it
Now aside from being banned from smoking inside clubs, restaurants and Bars i just heard the cost of smokes is going up!! How do you all feel about this?? How much is a carton now its going up $1.25 so thats what $0.13 a pack on small size and $0.16 on a larger pack!!! Is it not cheaper just to quit?? As a non smoker its not important but to those of you who smoke??
