Raising kids is more than a F/T job... it's a 24/7 job... specially when they are younger. No evenings and weekends OFF... more like you're on duty or on call all the time. LOL

well i guess things get easier if you hire a nanny or if grandma is always around to give you a hand with the children. or is cosiderably doable if you dont have a full time job, then your family becomes a full time job.

@ chuck - I think each household is different.

Now if we talk about Time: my kids would be my priority, work is just work to me, family comes after my kids & fullfilling their needs.

i guess another question is, how many can you afford nowadays?
not only about money but also about time. with work, the house, marriage, and the number of priorites involved, the number of childen you wish to have becomes an issue.

How many do you want? I would LUV 4, but will settle with 2 for sure.

would any of you considering adopting as an option? Would LUV too, if I can afford it.

I have one, and posssibly, down the line, a step son
Don't want anymore

I'd definitely consider adopting.. (if I wanted more children). I think it's much more noble and selfless
