Tell me about it I think its more envy rather then hatewink I remember when I was seeing this colombian guy and I met his mom in the mall. I happened to wear my argi jacket that day . I remember her reaction she was like Ahhhh Argentina hmmhmmmmmmm. Funny thing is that he told me his family disliked us but yet his dad would tell his uncles and friends all proudly "Mi hijo esta saliendo con una blanquita argentina ehh ehhhh " lmafo

When you really think about it though - who cares if you can win the in-laws over... as long as you already won their daughter, it's all that REALLY matters...

well no, because even if she loves you off and the parents hate your guts, it only makes the relationship bad and worst.

Sure it would be nice to be liked/appreciated by the in-laws; but if they don't, it's not like you're going to live with them every day.  Just keep their daughter happy and eventually they'll notice how happy you make her and that will win them over...

if that doesn't work, send the MS13 after them and you get to inherit whatever they got! blankstare

In my case, it was not a planned meeting... it was more like I was dropping her off at the back alley of her house... her dad happened to be coming by as I was saying goodbye.

I introduced myself, shook his hand, and then he seemed to start a freaking interview - LOL.

oh oh, one of those. is more like a cop questing you about a crime.

Not quite, but ALMOST!
I was old enough to understand that they just wanted to find out/get to know who his daughter was giong out with and I was smart enough not to mention anything that would make a bad impression!

did they have a good impression of you when they met you?
i wasnt nervous first of all, but i noticed the bunch of questions they asked, specially about my family and the "future". typical old fashion family.
i brougth them a bottle of wine and champagne, which by the way i forgot they dont drink at all.
i liked the dinner way more than meet the experience.
i didnt know if i made a good impression, but after that they continiuosly invited me over for family gatherings.
