Pfffttt... Mother's Day always ends up being one of the hardest working days for me... but it's my own fault, I guess, 'cause we get together at my place. I like it, though. I like it better when the moms have a good time than getting them presents that they don't use anyway.
As for me, I'm already mentally-working my offspring so that I get awesome presents when they can afford it. Hopefully I won't get a cheap son of a gun who says "I'm short on cash this year" or "she already has everything she needs." It's not about "needing" It's about "spoiling".
Okay, I'm outta here... Have an awesome mother's day, all of you moms!
LOL... I also have no clue what to get my mom. We pretty much got her everything one could get for mom, and can't afford the time to make dinner, etc (and she's not the 'spa' type) I'm very anti-gift certificate, but I might have no choice this year
ugh hellllllllllo this is the same woman who carried you around in her belly for nine months right? The same woman who had HARD labour to bring you into this world? The same woman who has cared for you all these (56) years?
MAKE TIME
Pffft!! WhatEver! Giving birth is like taking a poopoo..... no biggie

Give her the day off and pamper her in whatever way you can: Do the laundry, whatever other house chores she may be doing... Bring her flowers and a bottle of wine, cook dinner and sit down and thank her for bringing you to this world and all the good things she has done in your life. IF you have a sibling or two, split the chores and cooking - one of you can even play waiter and one play chef.
This is something that a girl did for a certain someone on a V.Day way back. She didn't have much $, but she cooked him dinner and had her sister play waiter. Ohh and the threesome was fantastic too...
OK, so I made up a happier ending!
