Like bachata, reggaeton IS repetitive music too. They all have the same beat with the 5,000 "yo's" in the track. The only benefit of this music is the excuse to tap a teen's azz. Reggaeton is another form of Rap but only 2 differences: another language and another repetitive beat. Either way, its working great in the US...we'll end up copying it and eventually it'll make noise here. it's slowly creepin in the 19+ clubs but I think it'll always be popular for the all ages thing.   Look at the trend here in Toronto now. The Urban style is huge. Everybody's trying to be black. It's sounds weird but it's true. How many little spanish kids do you hear saying "yo" 50 times in one sentence? Half of them love Reggaeton but don't even know Spanish. Reggaeton is an addition to that trend. Since North American Youth are so inclined in to the black thing, reggaeton will eventually make noise here...we're just so far behind schedule that little thugs still think that "Crips" and "Bloodz" are in style. Little did they know that all that is 80's stuff. HA HA   "

Ok, I think that you are taking it way too seriously and going off on all kinds of tangents with this one. Nobody is "trying to be black" or "tap" anybodies ass. It's all in fun and you should try and relax. In the end it's music that people of any age are enjoying. By the way, you live in Toronto and you seem so bitter that the US is ahead of us in so many things. Well, then, why don't you go to the US and be ahead of the game. Will that you make you cheer up a little? Also, reggaeton is not an addition to the trend of Spanish youth saying "yo" nor does it have anything to do with kids wanting "to be black", and no reggaeton has nothing to do with the "black" thing, it has to do with the Panamanian and Puerto Rican thing. After all, buddy, it's just music.

Hell noo it wont ever blow up for a simple reason..if u compare the latino population of toronto to cities such as new york miami, obviously who has a greater latin population? the cities from the states do, therefore theres much much more urban yonge latinos, that here, people here are still behind and prefer salsa still, oro solido eddie santiago, those groups aint nothing big down there anymore, do u know what im trying to say?, therers a higher population of latinos that prefer salsa bachata etc..over latinos that prefer urban music

Just like bachata, all the songs sound the same..with that annoying TANTANTAN beat 3steps to one side 3 steps to the other..sounds like funeral music haha..at least with reggaeton u can get down and "perriar" hasta abajo with a hot chic

Its pretty dissapointing to see that reggaeton has spread all over new york miami l.a the whole United States and Latin America except Toronto..reason why?? u tell me..and whats even more embarrissing is that fito blanko is doin better outside of Canada ..its like there r to many haters here or something..and dont even tell me that reggaeton aint good, beacause for some reason its doin so mainstream in other places except here
