And don't worry, no power was wasted in the staging of this concert.

Just to let you guys know at 8pm the demand was a bit lower than a normal Saturady night because many work places had already turned off the lights for the weekend. From then on the demand began to decrease to its lowest point which hit at 8:45pm. Toronto beat out all other Canadian cities with a demand decrease of 8.7%!! So good for us Toronto!!! The lowest for this year's Earth Hour was New Zealand at 12% decrease.

All major towers and buildings went dark between 8 and 9 and the night sky was beautiful!

I believe this will be a yearly event from now on to promote the awareness of conservation.

...who's up for a candlelit party next year??

Yeah, I signed up for the 8 to 9 thingy and then forgot. We did turn all the lights off, but I think it was 8:45 or something. I ALWAYS turn the lights off, though, 'cause, like, we pay for it so we have to.

SO have any of u guys heard about this? The Free One hour concert that Nelly Furtado is putting on?

Anyone attending it this Saturday? its suppose to be cool cuz they will shut off the lights for an hour downtown im not sure if all but alot of them even city hall!
