I like Exquisito on St.Clair West right where all the other Latino restaurants are. It's a young couple that owns it. He's Ecuadorean, she's Chilena...really cool ppl. Food's awesome and not expensive either. They have dishes from all over Latino America. Good wine selection, great desserts and some serious cocktails. If u r into empanadas this place's 4 u. They make Chilean, Colombian and Ecuadorian empanadas.
My favourite Latino restaurant in T.O. by far...and it's close to my apartament, which is a plus for me.

@ genie - now we have 2 restaurants we have to go to.

@ Chilenita: pongase los lentes niņa what I said was that I had an "interesting" experience, not a "bad" experience. I did like the food and service too... just that it was interesting that she was trying to help us spend less.
@ other "Expensive" comments - I disagree with the comments about Bodegon, Hornero being expensive. Hornero is right en el centro de la ciudad - Yonge Street - real state value/rent is through the roof in there... I have not been there in ages, but to seat down in a modest place and have personalized pizza for what - 7-10 dollars or pasta for 12-15 or Steak for like 16-20 dollars is reasonable to me. I have not been there in a couple of years, so I am just guesstimating the prices - it's averag or even below average on some items in comparison to other places.
If anything, I think some of us latinos are a little bit on the side, and have a reputation of, being "cheap". I think I just opened a new whole can of worms!!! UHHH OHHH I forecast a flurry of comments coming now!

Hi People. the name of the restaurante peruano is RINCONCITO CRIOLLO and it's located on weston and finch (si no me equivoco) Like Genie said el ceviche y la jalea son buenas opciones ahi, tambien pueden probar Arroz con Mariscos. No vayan a Doņa Luz.
@GENIE....yep that is my parents and their friends taking over the dance floor.....LOL.....it's a mixed group but mostly Argentinos.......lol....its so funny you know exactley which group they are....lol....
Genie who the hell is singing at Skyranch now????? I was his number one fan....lol......
@CONFU.....for food on the go your recomedations are the BEST but you forgot El Emporio del Sandwich on Wilson......YUMMY YUMMY
El hornero is a date place pricey but worth it and yeah a little small but great atmosphere.

OH NO a bad expericance at Skyranch? They are usually WONDERFUL! I find the service good and I LOVE the food......depends on your taste of food. Ecuador has the most amazing dishes but Skyranch is Argentino style and well the taste of food is TOTALLY different same with El hornero.
Here is the thing with me! If I have been out drinking on a Friday or Saturday and me and the girls want to eat and feel a little better than it's CEVICHE or PUPSAS all the way at one of these small places for SURE but if I am taking a group or want to do the BDAY thing the place has too look nice too so that is why I like Hornero, Mariachis and SKYRANCH.......

Ok since most of you seem to travel to weston and finch anyways theres a great restaurant called el Restaurante Crollio something like that its Peruano and its well priced and its big its in the plaza diagnal to were las Fronteras right across from were the old canadian tire was!! that might help its really really good
I recommend el ceviche mixto or Hallea!! tambien the portions are huge well worth the money!!
quote: Originally posted by: Anonymous "NO HAY MEJOR RESTAURANTE QUE "LAS FRONTERAS" BEST FOOD....ECUADORIAN FOOD EVER!!! LAS FRONTERAS......VISITENLO!!!! "
This is soo true ... LGigolo go here to Las Fronteras ... All I can say is yummy yummy in my tummy LOL ... It's at Finch and Weston just North of Finch ... next lights after main intersection on Weston take a right and your there ...
I have visited this restaurant on several ocasiones y no tengo ninguna queja - mas bien, siempre salgo satisfecho con todo - lo recomiendo!
@ Johny Canuvia - Si El Fogon es aquel restaurant en St. Clair West - just west of Christie, on the south side - tambien estubo bueno!
I'd rather cook than go eat there again!

This is a gr8 place to go, I recommend it to u but if u r going on a date or something like that . Like others have said is small and with a big group like the one u r planning on going with u r probably gonna have to wait a long time before u get tables
Oh, I love El Bodegon!!! Yo siempre he encontrado que la espera is worth it, though. Ahora, for a fun-filled night, I would recommend El Jacalito (it's kind of far, though). I'd never been and a few weeks ago I went for my Birthday. I had a blast, the food (buffet style) was really good (I like juicy food) and the show was awesome! They even sang happy birthday to a bunch of us. They have the folklore show and also mariachis. It was pretty good. I'm sure that with a big group, you'd enjoy this place more.
