Oh trust me it does have BORING moments!!!! It all depends on who is performing...much like any music festival. This year so far I have kind of liked Marco Antonio Solis, Nelly Furtado, Peter Frampton, Calle 13 and tonight I'll watch Chayanne. I also love the folkclore. THere are some things about El Festival that you need to be Chilean to like...like the comedians that crack jokes that most non Chileans won't get. Overall this year was okay. Peter Frampton and Earth Wind and Fire were GREAT!
How did El Monstruo receive Marco Antonio Solis? I heard a while ago they booed Los Tigres del Norte or some other norteņo group and they had to leave the stage.
Still, I've never watched a Viņa that hasn't bored me to tears.
They loved him. He got all the awards an artist can get!!
Yes they booed Los Tigres Del Norte off stage same as Paulina Rubio and a few others. If the don't like someone or they sound horrible they will not let them sing. This year only one one person left...a comedian and he left b4 they could boo him. When he realized nobody was laughing he left on his own.
Chayanne who I have not been crazy about lately was actually very good last night. They wents nuts for him and a reggaeton group Wilson y Yandel.

Oscars...for the second time in my life I didn't watch it much. I was watching El Festival de Vina which TRUST me was much more entertaining! I am glad Bardem won....I think he is super hot. Fashion sucked!! Gone are the days of Cher in crazy BOB Mackie dresses. Penelope Cruz looked amazing as did a few others but nothing out of this world to write about. John Stewart was even meh from the bit that I saw. It was missing star power this year or something....
