I say we all start a petition for a Hispanic focused school!!! They every culture can do the same!!! If we get turned down, we can always argue that they are being racist against our culture!
I don't like the idea and I don't think it will improve anyone's education, if at all.

X- if this idea doesn't work (which will not) i'd blame the parents of the problem children. Go up and ask to have a school built for parents to teach them parenting skills. Maybe then they'll realize that being involved in a child's life is what makes the difference, only then do i see things changing.
thats just the problem here, people always try to blame it on some1 else and they don't see that the problem starts at home, reason they come up with stupid ideas like this one to make them selfs feel better

this whole thing is racist if u ask me..... but not from the white community but from los morenos, I mean if it was a white person saying we want only white people school it would be called a racist idea, and like Dogo said there would be riots at this moment....... but since she is morena its okay to be racist?...... i can see this causing even more problems and dividing the community and like others have said just bringing us back in time.
if i was moreno and had kids i would never put them in a school like that.

God, i don't think it has to do with it being a racist issue. Plus, it was an african american woman who requested this, and the shool board voted for it. To please her.
She thinks that having a school that caters only to 'blacks' will help diminish violence. I don't know about you, but maybe the problem here is not keeping an eye on the sorts of activities your kids are into and the types of 'friendships' they make.

That's retarded and I'm totally against it, we just went back 500 years. Don't Toronto brags being a multicutural city....eff that , that's racism at its best.
I'm not too keen on the idea. How can isolating a certain race make it better in the long run? aren't we going back in time like this? what happened to wanting to be considered one race? equal to everyone else? and just how to you classify being 'black'? Dominicans have similar traits but they're hispanics. Does that mean they won't be able to go to that school?
and what about children of mixed parents? I can see this being a mess.
