bst thing for you do to before u decide to spend this crazy money on a studio is put her thru parks and rec and see if she really likes it....cuz member kids change there mind all the time.....
Only about twenty seven people already mentioned that to her!
I agree, I will look into it to see if there is anything close to home.

Agree with both Colo and Pri: Let kids first test/try different activities through Parks and Rec, and if they do, THEN spend the bigger dollars on more specialized schools. I wish I had thought about Parks' n Rec years back... oh well - an extra G or so that was spent unnecessarily

@ Colo - I agree start them with simple, but I mean if the Ontario School of ballet is the best in TO & my kids soooo into it, like say kids in hockey leagues, then yes i would spend the extra cash & cahnge them, now of course if I can afford it.
@ MJ - well if the parent can afford it & you see that ur child luves ballet & has the call for it, I would defenitly spend the extra couple bucks. Now if it's just for fun, hobby, wateevr then maybe I'll re-consider it.
I started my oldest one off with Hip Hop and Jazz thru Parks and recreation, just so she could get a feel of it and see if it was something she would really be interested in. They are pretty reasonable price wise and the instructors were good.
Now that i know she enjoys it she is in dance/drama. She will also be starting Indo Jazz with Shiamak's Dance Academy and Colombian Folklor with my madrina's group.
The little one started ballet this year, thru Parks and Rec. She seems to be enjoying it so far.

@ Gitana - I'm not sure wat school are best, but just my thingy to suggest u should put ur little girl in ballroom dancing.
Honestly I think they get a nice shape, great posture, great moves, nada vulgar, so elegant & classy feeling to it, great discipline, great outfits, nice workout (even thou it looks simple).
I luv it, I wish I was smaller so I can start from scratch, but one day when i get my girl!
I'm thinking of putting my lil princess in Ballet/Hip Hop classes. Do any of you know of any places?
There is one on St. Clair W., just east of Dufferin on the South side. I forget the name; but they have both Ballet and Hip Hop classes. Almost right accross from that church/Big Slice.
