Andy Montanez - a legend but a guy who has a crappy production
La Charanga - no comment lol

Monchy - good show but bad promotion, it wasnt even orginized since they came late

2007 was a horrible year for concerts so dont say that these shows were good

Dj'en for 14 years were awsome and fun but Promoting has been a challenge for me BUT I love a challange it makes be a better person when you WOrk Hard for something that you want to be successfull.

I am not sure I think that Moet was involved but I don't know if it was totally his thing or not.  The point is when things turn into CRAP they are not quick to give answers at all!!!  It's sad really to think that "THEY" actually consider themselves professionals.  Professional scammers perhaps.

Well I think Gino's whole comment was because PROMOTERS are so unreliable these days.  You never know if you will get an actual show or not.  I think he was being a little over the top to make a point.  I will say that I know MANY people who have stopped going to events all together due to the lack of professionalism that goes into the productions. 

Not too long ago an "english" promoter I know had a problem at an event (DJ Starting from Strach's bday)....the club owner decided that the club was at capacity and stopped letting people in.  There were many people outside that had tickets and didn't get in.  First thing in the morning he emailed EVERYONE on his email list saying sorry for what had happned.  He didn't stop there...he actually went on in FULL detail about a meeting he had with the club owner the next day and EVERYTHING that was dicussed.  He gave out his personal cell number and asked anyone who was upset to call him so he could PERSONALLY go and refund their money and explain what happened and we are talking about HUNDREDS of people.

I have seen events FAIL HORRIBLY in the latin community and nobody explains S H I T!!!  So and so didn't get a visa and they try and stay quiet about things instead of going on the radio or whatever to explain what happened and worry about refunds.

I fully agree with Baina.  NOBODY cares about why things don't work out or how hard it is to put on a concert.  With much respect (because I do think you are trying) you are choosing to be a promoter and that is your job right?  Whatever you need to do to put on a concert is nobody's concern.  Nobody needs to know what is involved or how hard it is.  The ONLY thing that matters at the end of the day to the PAYING customer is the end result.  If you choose putting on concerts as a job then you are a service provider.  You should deliver top of the line service and nothing less.  It's not like these concerts are free...so if it's lots of work TOUGH!  Making money ain't easy.

Prieto....What I'm going to write here is not personally directed to you...but since you have made a comments as a promoter.....the comments below are for you and all your other fellow promoters.

So I'm not of the opinion that you should boycott the concerts and all that jazz.

However....I'm not found of the way you have put your arguement forth either.

Let's all be honest. WHO CARES how long it takes you, how much you have to do, all the obstacles and problems that arrise. WHO CARES?!?!? The only one that should is YOU as a promoter and the people involved.

The paying audience is not responsible nor should they care. Why? Because they are paying you for a service. Right? You're providing a night of entertainment for a fee. So....what happens when you don't deliver?!?!? Is that the people's fault? Should we be saying..."aahhh...poor promoters...they worked soo hard!"?!?!?

So when you hit people with the "oh...you don't know how hard it is".....people don't wanna hear that. They just want results......and I don't think that a latin thing either......You think that Canadian's that go to concerts care about how much the behind the scenes people had to work to put things together??? No. They want the product that they paid for.

You obviously do it for a reason. Because when things turn out great you obviously get some financial gain...and you go and beat your chest saying how your company is #1......but when things turn out crappy.....it's always someone else's fault.

I know of many "ENGLISH" concerts that have been cancelled for whatever reason. But what generally happens there? It is automatically rescheduled and/or people get their money back. I had tickets to see Alejandro Sanz in N.Y. but it got cancelled. How did I find out? They sent me and email AND an actuall letter from MSG to inform me of the cancellation and how to go about getting a refund or use my tickets for the rescheduled show. THAT'S PRO! 

Anyway....again.....this is not a personal attack on you Henry.....just my opinion on the subject.
