The problem is, the radio station is run like your basic Latin American regime. A handful of non-elected individuals make all of the decisions including the appointment of a perennial leader all under the guise of doing what is best for the people whom they claim to represent and from whom, in reality, they are completely disconnected and indifferent of. All this, while at the same time making it impossible for anyone else to penetrate this inner circle and thereby permanently preserving their position in power and making it impossible for anyone to ensue any kind of change. In the same way, anyone who opposes the mandates of the ruling party (or community center), simply disappears and is never heard from again a la Salvadoran death squads of the 1980s except they probably dont kill them they just take them off the air without an explanation.

Because to play new song they have to pay a fee to the studios. (Royalties)

If you didn't know LA FILOSOFIA of the local latin radios is IF IS FREE IS IN if we have to pay IS OUT. and if you don't like it- too bad, ;'cause you dont have a choice.

Why you think there is not a TOP 20 or at least 10 in any latin radio.
