The xmas parties at my work are sooooooooo boring, the only good thing is the free lunch and the gift draws (they have some pretty good prizes), and is during work time, so we go there for 2-3 hrs and after that back to work

Oh boy, i guess your workplace sucks more then mine. The only person that stays working at my workplace is the receptionist, sucks big time for her.

Holy, you people... that sucks. We have three Xmas parties... yes count them... 3: 1 for the kids (tons of food), 1 department (more food and a couple of drinks) and 1 for the whole company (food AND alcohol).

Our store holds it on wedensdays every year because its the one night we close at 5pm last year we went to the old mill which was fun and nice! very posh and alot of fun!
This year we are going to Benihana at the Royal york, we do the gift exchange which is fun and we also get door prizes from all our manufactures and drinks! but no guest allowed!

My Christmas party at work is a children christmas party in other words if you don't have kids what is the point.... I don't have kids so I never go.... Apparently is suppost to be really fun for the kids off course....
Anyway, my husband's christmas parties are the best.... so fun and the coworkers are great!!!!

hopefully i dont get no cheesy gift...

My company's changed owners this year and our Xmas party is apparently going to be a very posh event... I'm kinda looking forward to it, though it's on a Thursday, which is fine by me 'cause I don't work fridays but le hubby does. Our Xmas parties were legendary before 'cause they were tons of fun, laid back, free and we had everything (except for guests; it was an employee-only affair). Now we have to pay some, but like I sad, it's supposed to be very fancy schmancy and we can bring one guest. So I'm reaaaaaally looking forward to it.

Anyhow I work in the non-for-profit sector so we just have our regular once a month staff meeting, then at non go to some restaurant (every yrs diffrent), play some games, get a cheesy little something & get the rest of the day off. Kinda sad, but ok i guess considering our sector. BTW I can't bring anyone. : ( Not even my X. I'll miss u baby!!

My company does the same stupid party every year at some Portuguese place. Food is great but company sucks. Since it's on a Friday i get nice and drunk and then meet my friends to go somewhere worth it.
