Bah, fashion smashion. What ever happened to wearing what YOU think looks and feels good for YOU and YOU only?

Fads and trends, they belong in the poubelle (garbage au francais).

Yes, it's all nice and glitzy, but at the end of the day we all end up in Pj's or naked shrug.gif

But i do love shoes!!! w00t.gif

I didn't see you complaining at our firs Haute Couture showbiggrin

See and all that stuff was for spring/summer 2008!!

Oh no no, i loved that show. But the thing about fashion that i dislike most is that some of the pieces designers make are not versatile at all. Fashion is only good if you can modify it. There are so many classic pieces and they will never ever go out of style. THOSE are the ones i like and sport at times. Swaby's stuff was just that. Versatile, and i would definetly wear a lot of her pieces and keep for as long as i fit in them.

There is one bag trend now: that stupid coat that only has 3/4 lenght sleeves. WTF?!!! it's a flipping coat!!! I don't know about you, but if i wear a coat outsede, i want it to cover my whole arm, it makes no sense to me at all!

You are Donna Karen!!!  She is the designer for you.  Same with Ralph Lauren.  Classic and timeless!

The Swaby show was to die for but just not my style.  It would look amazing on you though! Shernett is a talented lady that is for sure. Hopefully soon she will be doing her show for fashion week in New York and we can see her there.  OMG is that happens I'll pee my pantsblankstare

I know sad but true!  The super high heels that are in now look great!!smile

What carequea said is VERY true.  HOLLYWOOD does set the trends!!  They go to all the fashion shows....fashion shows are ALWAY at least 2 seasons ahead.  They have the money to afford the lastest and greatest trends.  If you follow celebs a bit you will always have a clue what is coming "in"......Sienna Miller was rocking tight jeans and flats like 2 years ago.  Bohemian Chic.wink

Skinny Jeans with high heeled boots are cute.

The flat shoe thing has faded and is almost done.

Just because something is in style does NOT mean you should wear it!  If you have a curvy typical latina body then that look really isn't right.  Ballet style flats and skinny jeans look great on tall and very thin women.

Like I said that style is all but gone anyway.  Heels are back and stronger and higher than ever.

YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Those flat shoes look retarded...i can't stand looking at them.

I'm guessing trends start with famous people wearing something, and the rest of the people follow... so its safe to assume that if a famous person were to wear a piece of dog sh1t on their head, others would follow right?

I don't like the skinny jean and heels look at all.

I hate skinny jeans period. But flat shoes (not ballet flats--those are really over rated) are needed in every girl's wardrobe.
