what do u mean a backup boot disk?

As in my computer "died" and won't start Windows Vista. When I power up it tells me that the "Windows vista key is invalid" (though it's whatever came with the computer - bought directly from Best Buy).

I am sure I still have the receipt, and probably can have Best Buy fix it; but I was trying to avoid their techie fees.

well it sounds like they gave u an invaled system key, take it back and tell them to give u a valed key, u wont be able to do anything if u don't have a valid key, vista is made to lock up if it doesn't have one.

was thinking to go to http://www.seriall.com and search for a key; but it's fawking BLOCKED at work! no.gif Will try to do it from the net cafe - if not, I will have to bring it to Best Buy.

@ElMismo - si no me la arreglan, la voto a la basura la proxima semana y te aviso, que dia y que hora pa' que la pases reco'g'iendo! hmm

if u can get the legal S/n get it specially since u already payed for it, plus u r going to need it for the update that will be coming out soon for windows vista.

I say get rid of vista and install xp....much better....vista is basically xp with some sugar coating on it.......and eats up alot of computer resources.

Any of you have one of these babies?

I never made a back up / boot disc.  Need someone to hook me up.  May be a longshot, but...
Anyone?
