Oh yeah what's her name.....no se cuanto de la V.....I love her she is FABULOUS!!

Anyway at least Argentina is headed in the right direction.  Chile has a long way to go. 

BTW I saw some of the best looking he/she's I have EVER seen in my life in Buenos Aires

BUENOS AIRES - El primer Mundial de Fútbol Gay que se juega en Latinoamérica comenzó en Buenos Aires con la participación de 28 equipos, una cifra récord para las diez ediciones que lleva el certamen.

Tras la ceremonia inaugural, el torneo se inició en seis campos del Parque Sarmiento de la capital argentina, donde hasta el sábado próximo competirán conjuntos de América, Europa y Oceanía.

"Hay más de 400 jugadores participando y un récord de convocatoria en cuanto a la cantidad de equipos que participan del Mundial", señaló a Efe César Cigliutti, presidente de la Comunidad Homosexual Argentina.

Tras señalar que "los que saben de fútbol dicen que los candidatos a ganar el título son los equipos ingleses", Cigliutti destacó que a la primera jornada del torneo "asistió una gran cantidad de público y también muchos periodistas".

El certamen ha sido organizado por la Asociación Internacional Gay y Lésbica de Fútbol (IGLFA) y la Subsecretaría de Deportes de Buenos Aires, además de contar con el apoyo de la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA).

Sudamérica está representada por siete equipos: los argentinos Amérika, SAFGay, Dogos SN y Dogos RN; el chileno Chile Deportes; el mexicano Selección Inter de la Diversidad y el Uruguay Celeste.

Por Estados Unidos participan Boston-América, DC Feds, Storm, FL, Hot Atlanta, NY Ramblers, Philadelphia Falcons, Seattle Rain y los conjuntos de San Francisco Spikes I y II, y por Canadá Royal Canadians y Toronto Titans.

Europa tiene siete representantes: el irlandés Dublin Devils; los ingleses Leftfooters, Leftovers, London Titans, Stonewall y Village Manchester y el islandés Saint Styrmir.

Dos equipos australianos representan a Oceanía: Europa Mix Titans y Sydney Rangers.

El Mundial cuenta solamente con la participación de equipos de hombres y no habrá una competición simultánea de lesbianas, porque solamente se habían inscrito tres equipos que finalmente retiraron sus solicitudes.

Cada delegación se hace cargo de los gastos de traslado y estancia en Buenos Aires durante la semana de competición.

Para Cigliutti, que Buenos Aires aprobase en 2003 una ley que autoriza las uniones civiles entre homosexuales, convirtiéndose así en la primera ciudad de Latinoamérica en permitirlas, ha sido uno de los principales motivos para que fuese seleccionada como sede del certamen.
