Trying to match them with something similar in the English language. As neither English nor Spanish is my first language, I am not sure if we have something quite near or even identical to the one about the 'broom and the sweeping'. What would the normal way of writing this expression be? Something like 'Que la escoba agarre, se ponga a barrer?' Whatever the broomcatches, is swept away, or...?
'Quema mucho el sol'. It must also be a proverb with a 'fine tuned' meaning in Spanish, no? This one has got me. I can't think of anything catching just now, but I understand it is trying to say that it is plenty hot near the sun alright. Can you help me out with this one?
