Very cute proverbs!

Trying to match them with something similar in the English language. As neither English nor Spanish is my first language, I am not sure if we have something quite near or even identical to the one about the 'broom and the sweeping'. What would the normal way of writing this expression be? Something like 'Que la escoba agarre, se ponga a barrer?' Whatever the broomcatches, is swept away, or...?
