Religion is complicated. I have yet to meet a true catholic I know that much.

AGREED: Religion IS complicated!

Would it be any easier to find a true Jehova's Witness, a true Mormon, or a true Jew?

We're just human beings and unless you're mother Theresa, one is always gonna fall short of being a perfect religious person.

ohmygod.gif Did I just not say that I do NOT like discussing religion or politics!?

If only life were that easy, that just cause u dont believe in something it means that it doesent exist or it wont happen.  Stories of El Duende, la Llorona, and all that crap, i dont pay attention to.  Not that i dont believe there may be some truth to them, cause in this world anything is possible and there are forces at work in this world that are beyond our imagination.

But what i rely on mostly is prayer, honestly.  I pray quite a bit, i havent been going to mass lately, but i do make it a point once a week to go into a church an just have my "down time" there.  I believe that since i have been doing this it has provided my kids and i a lot of protection and things have started to look up.

Interesting but do you think all those people in Peru that got crushed to death while in church praying got any help from prayerhmm  nope.

How didnt they get help? they no longer have to suffer this cruel world...they dont have to feel the hunger and the pain of how the ppl are now....they are living the after life they were living for........no?

OMG are you serious?blankstare

maybe it was their time to go?

Alot of the real religiosos pray to be called to heaven...i know nuff ppl who wouldve luved to be taken while doing the one thing their search feels complete with.....praying.

oooooooooooooooook thenblankstare

Hopefully all the prayers for those who were left with nothing or those who had nothing to begin with get answered soon.  Somehow I doubt it.

it'll take time to go back to 100% but the millions of $ Canada sent mean nothing?
The cahirty even taking part this sunday at mel lastman square out of the goodness of ppls hearts mean nothing?
God (rgnfg) isnt supposed to be a hero..or is that what u expect of him? It is humans who are messing up the world t get allthese natural disasters to happen....global warming isnt God's (rgnfg) fault.

I don't like to bebate about politics or religion.

But religious folks would say something along the lines that "eso es una 'prueba' que Dios les esta poniendo... una 'cruz' mas que cargar... blah blah blah...

But I am NOT saying it cause of my first sentence of this post!

well what do you think?hmm

I think you're just as safe at a rave, at church or an antichrist gathering - when mother nature hits hard, it don't matter!  Cuando te llega la hora, te llega la hora - If I had a choice, I would rather die while praying and being close to God than when I am doing something bad.  weirdface.gif

whisper.gif can you recommend any "mal de ojo" avoiders, porfa?

Ok there, being a fellow scorpio im sure you have your superstitions too?

R u serious about the "avoiders".  There are different things.  Like i said before, any thing with an "eye" pendant is said to be good.  I bought my kids their bracelets and my keychain at this Turkish store at Keele/Finch.  A few spanish pple and Hindus will wear a red string around their ankle, wrist, etc.  Middle eastern ppl use the eye quite a bit or a blue stone that they put on their jewelery.   I actually will be getting an "eye" bracelet, it will be given to me as a gift.

@Lahtina - u seriously use an "ojo de venado".  LOL

whats involved in this cleansing process?
Im not hatin, but isnt it enought to just not beleive in it and it wont happen?
IN korean there is this saying that translated says 'If you look for tiger, he will appear'......iunno, maybe born and raised here didnt make me believe in those things..not even el duende or la viuda stories keep my attn.

I believe that since i have been doing this it has provided my kids and i a lot of protection and things have started to look up.

same here.....i rely on prayer and that my honesty will let my parents soul rest when they pass so i dont have guilt or shame to feel when that day comes
*knocks on wood*

I used to hear about this when I was a kid.

I don't quite remember it much; but something along the lines of what COLO just said.

BTW, GL2, mal de ojo is not something you want to talk about, especially not write about. I suggest you stop trying to find out what it is before it's finds you.

Lucky for me, I have my dear deer's eye. *kisses her "ojo de venado" pendant*
