not bad ... but for my taste its a little too fast .. not sure if this will work out with slower salsa songs, you are supposed to dance according to the rything of the song.
it kind of looks bad when they play a salsa sensual and you see people dancing it like its was a fast song with turns everywhere.
@ colombiana
the first video that you posted , the kids had some amazing footwork and i noticed not many turns were use , but at times it seem that they were jumping little bit , would that be because this was a competition or is that usual colombian style of dance?
Yeah Rick, 'cause we dance super fast to slow salsa songs as well.

true but the hopping makes it look a little like they were doing a litle bit of swing... I know its a different style of salsa , and the foot work like i said its very impresive.

I don't know if u can call it jumping, is more like hopping......from experience the hopping adds to the dancing and is a must in some songs and some rhythms......not sure if is part of the style but is not something u would do in everysong.

@ Playero - With all due respect and taking personal tastes into consideration........There is NO FREAKING WAY IN HELL....you can put Hector Lavoe in the same category as Frankie Negron and Adolecentes.....but like I said...that's why there's pineapple and pepperoni.
@ God - Thank's for the compliment. I got some new stuff coming......I'll keep you posted!
GOD has multiple posts on a SALSA thread! interesting!
He must just be increasing his post count!

it's just odd. But I guess that's why there's chocolate and vanilla.
not really...i grew up listening to spanish reggae and hiphop the only times that i would listen to traditional latin music would be at parites with the older folks

Oh my God, Colo!!! I swear to God, I logged on foro this late to show WHY I don't go to clubs anymore and I was going to post one of these videos!!!!
That's just insane!!!
Anyway, back to my point, THIS IS WHY I don't go clubbing anymore!! F@ck all these stupid dips and spins............THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!!!!
I LOVE the mix at the beginning of the song too!!!! I nearly LOST it!!!!!
YOU KNOW HOW WE DO!!!!!!!
BRAP!!!!!

Yup, i know how we do. We have discussed this so many times. I dont mind the dips and turns here and there, depending who im dancing with, but I think i have only had one dance partner that i can say we actually danced "colombian cali styles". Man, we used to kill the dancefloor back in the day.

I find this comment interesting.
You being a big reggaeton fan....and most reggeatoneros admit to salsa being a huge influence in their carrers...and many doing cross-over type of stuff with salseros......it's just odd. But I guess that's why there's chocolate and vanilla.
