@ Rick...that's what I meant by "envidia" and sometimes pple are envious for the wrong reason etc... because I am sure that many pple worked hard to be where they are today and this terminology obviously offend them bc they don't know thehard work behind it.
And unfortunatly I think this is one of the reason why Central and South America NO avanza. Yes there is a lot of descriminacion but the, even the ones affected by it descriminate others so nunca se llega a ningun lado....very sad indeed.
That's all I wanted to say.
but if you were just poking fun, i can take it

After the hood comparing that went on yesterday I thought this might be an interesting thread.
Where did you grow up? Lima PERU
What was ghetto about your area if anything?
i LIVED THERE 14 YEARS FEW THING I REMEMBER
El mercado las barras bravas ( soccer is a religion) el terrorismo people begging for money rateros la luz se iba todas las noches no water ( yes they cut the water and we will only get it twice a week) el parque ( fumones , hoes, etc)
Most ghetto fabulous moment of your life?
Even though the area was ghetto my family always kept away from all that ( many decent people in the area).. in my area you were ok if they know you live there , so we did not have to be involved with all the ghetto stuff going around you...
You know you are ghetto when.......fill in the blank.
i was in lima for one day....it reminded me alot of guayaquil....

i grew up in the oaks ..until i was 10 for those who dont know right infront of regent park..lol..damm those buildings were runned down...crack heads ...prostitutes...on the corridors ...ha i remember the elevators were sooo old that people were scared to use them...it would either always get stuck between floors ..sometimes people would no joke crawl out hahaha...or half the elevator would open...so u would see the whole mechanic parts lol!!
i thought that was ghetto....until i moved back to ecuador for 11 years... i lived in the north north end of quito..cotocollao alfrente del mercado de la ofelia..for u ecuadorians tha r from quito...u know how ****ed up that area was and still is...there were soo many gangs and these were not ur north american typical street gangs..these dudes were straight up poor nothing to eat and would rob anyone for a simple dollar....and good luck walking home past 6pm...the cabs or cops..would think twice to pick someone up..lol
the best part was when i they stole my aunts silver necklace..and it ended up being a cop hahahahahah!!!!Oh god god ol latin america for u ..
anyhow... with all that environment around im suprised i never got into gangs or any of that...i have nothing to hide and no one should to say they grew up in the ghetto...u take the best out of it and learn how to value were u live now..
anyhow the most ghetto thing ive done???lol does drinking ecuadorian rum infront of ur building with ur boys or spray painting at 3pm in the afternoon count? lol

Most ghetto fabulous moment of your life? Meh, i wouln't consider it ghetto, nor a pleasant memory, but rather a hard time in life, when we didn't have the means and/or the few luxuries we do now. I think Deciding to 'live and be' ghetto when you clearly have the means to better yourself, is a choice. Everyone can, (if they want to and work hard) achieve ANYTHING.
Anyway, the moment in my childhood was when we barely brought lunch to school. A teacher noticed one time, and out of the kindness of her heart, brought us to the teachers lunchroom and made me and my brothers sandwiches. I appreciate it till this day. And makes me really thankful for all i have now.
What was ghetto about your area if anything? the stockyards, man that place STANK every summer. And to this day, it still does. Poor rotten cows.

You find a lip liner on the floor, take it home, sharpen it and make it yours.

Where did you grow up? Jane and Finch. Still live there too.
What was ghetto about your area if anything? Everything was ghetto about the area back in the day. It has changed alot though and look decent now. Most ghetto thing though was our billiard at Driftwood. The pool table had no cloth/material on them. Just hard wood
Most ghetto fabulous moment of your life? Don't really know.
You know you are ghetto when.......You bum money off people at the pay phones to buy a pan pizza at the Jane and Finch Pizza Hut <---- I guess I did have a ghetto fab moment
LMAO @ the pool table!!! that is ghetto
