I think ,. it has its pro and cons,.. yeah you will be able to use them as tools to teach your kids religion,. (basically the characters of the bible),. because GOD has another abstract meaning that can not be interpret through "action figures",... actually I can not see them as a "toy" ,.... Julie and Princessa have very good points,.. These "toys" are an option,.. as adults/parents we have the choice to teach our kids the meaning of them,...

I think these toys are a great idea, surprised they didn't come out sooner.

I think that if I had kids now I would buy them, but I would also give it to them with some sort of a back-up explanation as to wat they are, who they are & make them read about it before they take off to play. It's a great way to introduce them to God & get them to be more intrested in the topic. I mean I'm basing this on me & the fact that I will make a point of takin my kids to church on sundays as a routine, if by the age of 18 they decided they no longer wish to go then that's fine, but till then it will be a must in my house. I was brought up like this & I belive in it.

But don't worry much, Loquito can't kill you with a deadly web and nasty fangs!!!!  crying.gif

Maybe his breath but definitely not a web!!!  thumbsup.gif

@Julie:  Good point.  I don't think kids can differentiate much so they'll still play with those Jebus dolls the same way as if they were GI Joe toys.

That'd be so cool!!!  I'd like a Moses toy.  I'd be like, "Bam bam bam!!!  Are these peeps following me?  Yo brace YO SELF b itches!!!!!" and then pour buckets of water all over the place!!!!

You know..........to simulate the parting of the Red Sea.  hmm.gif

Sorry I haven't read yet the entire article but isn't it a bit risky to have them as "action figures" like if there were transformers or soemthing like that (I am just playing the devil's advocate here). Bc they will still interact with them as if there were the same type of caracters no ? I am just thinking, that the kids, you know, might end up a bit confused or something.

Anywho... Julie Im not saying that there are no other alternatives to kids playing with guns.... of course there is playtime outside and board games and the such... HOWEVER, having Biblical characters as action figures is a refreshing change in an extremely corrupt world.

And no Guada, not tryign to butter up to san pedro right now... still wanna wait for a long long time till I meet him. wink.gif

No problem, but when you get there, remember to bring the action figure of San P with you. Then he'll know you're his ultimate fan.  wink

@ Chale...there are many other kid of toys....same one we use to have or play with and the generations before us. So I think it is really up to what the parents today, chose to buy for their kids.

We were having this talk last night with some friends, some being parents, other no. And we were remembering how, we were always ot playing or having game @ home that were not that violent. Even, when the video games and all these "more violent oriented toys" started to appear, I remember my little cousin, 5 years younger than me, he was limited to a short period of time per day or week. And was playing like crazy with other kids etc... so I think, truely, that bottom end, this is a parents issue and the easy way out to buy peace and quiet, less supervision, bla bla bla etc.......and please pple don't come back to me saying that back then parents had more time to spend with their kids. That hasn't change a bit.

You an also enroll your kid in extra scholar activities. I mean there are so many optiions out there.

Meh, whatever really. If we need means to teach our kids to be good people, then this is the answer to our prayers...maybe, i don't know. shrug.gif

But youre not teaching your kids that religion/faith is a toy... all that these toys really are, is an alternative to the violence-glorifying toys that are out in the market today.  With a market thats saturated with guns/robots with guns/etc its nice to be able to give your child something else.
