i agree buffy, it was nuts out there. we got our food and looked for a place to sit down, but the heat was so oppressive and we couldn't find any shade so we basically bolted...
Goddammit!!! I'm starving... I've waited as long as I could but I've been here since 6:30 this morning and I'm hungry!!!! So I gotta go eat now. If I see you, I'll see you, if I don't, enjoy Tasty Thursday!!!
ETA: So I saw Mr. Pituco for two seconds. Then I went and tried to get a seat in the shade 'cause it's f*cking hot... then I looked and looked and looked to try to see Corporate Foro A.K.A. Colo & MJ... couldn't see anybody... doesn't help that I'm blind... It was too hot to be eating outside, let alone dancing reggae... so I barely touched my food and decided to come back into air conditioned heaven... Thank the lord above for A.C. I think I forgot how to be nicaraguan.
For those of you who can make it, there will be a reggae group playing today, Selasee (a mix of English and West African lyrics... or so the brochure says).
I think Chilenita's too far, Julie can't make it, and Guada decided to do what she does best and ditch me!!!!
Ugh, i can never win! NEVER!

danny is right if its ecuadorian food then its always good
but empanadas from chile (no disrespect) its just not my taste, i rather have them from colombia
You either like them or you don't. I find that people love or hate them.
Food from Ecuador is good and they have a lot of variety. My ex's mom has to be one of the best cooks around but there were some things I didn't like much. Some of the soups I wasn't crazy about.
Question: There is this thing that is like a side dish from Ecuador that has peanut butter or something in it. Anyone know what that is?

That's part of my summer ritual. I didn't know La Fiesta was ecuadorian. They make the yummiest food. They're also there on Wednesday, for Fresh Wednesdays. I looooooove the noon concerts. They're the bestest.
Let me know when ur going. I havent seen you in a while.
You'll see me Thursday. And I will see you too. I guess we'll see each other. And others will see us. But but we won't be seeing them because you'll be seeing me and I'll be seeing you. Man, this fruit salad is laced.
Oh, and I don't do Doña Luz... no offence, peruchos. But it's not every month that I get to have that grilled mashed potatoes with that delish pork dish... whatever that dish is called.

Ohhh but wait...MJ, instead of thinking about Mr. Christie everyday while driving by, why don't you stop across the street and play the Tasty Thursday delivery lady Zank Iu !

Don't know if this was posted before but every Thursday, from July 12 - August 23, Nathan Phillips Square (City Hall) is holding a food festival from 11am to 2 pm. They have tents with different types of food for only $5 per plate. La Fiesta (Ecuadorian food) and la Cocina de Doña Luz (Peruvian food), are the Latin representation. The Ecuadorian food was really good, they sell Hornado, chicken and steak. Anyone who works downtown should make it a point to go, or if you just happen to be in the vecinity.
I am going to go next week. DONA LUZ - ummmmmmmmmm
I went there yesterday with my boys....we ate ALOT By the way I'm liking that st Clair are...I live South of St Clair.
