Question for the ladies. Just curious: How about promise ring and no engagement ring? SOUNDS GOOD AS LONG AS ITS THE SAME MEANING NO PROBLEMS HERE!! or how about -if it had the same meaning- an engagement ring with no 'rock'? GOOD FOR ME I WOULD LOVE A NICE BAND WITH MINE AND HIS STONE INSTEAD is it really important that the ring is expensive.. or just the fact that it has a rock?.. or actually, what the hell is it??!THE BLING BLING I DONT KNOW NEVER BEEN A FAN!! LOLLOL BTW.. engagment rings are unheard of back home...

I think engagement rings are the brilliant idea of the diamond industry. Why the hell would I consider a diamond my best friend? Can I talk to it? No. Can I borrow its clothes and then never give them back? No. Can I eat ice cream with it? No. So what the heck guy??? Its not my best friend!
Engagement rings are more so a status symbol for those who care to believe in it. I dont think that a poor man loves his wife any less if he's unable to give her a million carat ring.
And here's another question for you... why is the engagement ring so much more expensive and elaborate (in most cases) than the actual wedding band? Is the wedding band not more symbolic than the promise to marry someone?

How about promise ring and no engagement ring? All the same, it's the motive that means something to me, not the item representing it.
or how about -if it had the same meaning- an engagement ring with no 'rock'? so a band. Like a said, it's all about the good intentions.
is it really important that the ring is expensive..nope
or just the fact that it has a rock?.. or actually, what the hell is it??! The fairy tale behing the ring is what makes it so big. Because after you're married no one really oooh's and ahhh's about anymore. Puro hype. Mind you, i wouldn't change mine for the world.
Anyway, that's just me. De nada.

What do you guys think about this? Have you guys ever given or recieved a promise ring? I remember back in high school I used to laugh at the few people that had them. I think it's a dumb concept especially when you are in highschool.
i had one in highschool lollol i was cute! now i have a chain that i wear everyday that i got from Orale as a promise that i will get my ring someday! for now im happy with my necklace!
I would rather have a promise PS3, but that's just me

I think it makes more sense than an engagment ring At least you do't have to mortgage your left testicle to buy one Then again, I don't think I've ever received or given one, so what do I know
