SDI Media job opportunities for Spanish (European, Mexican) speakers

SDI Media is searching for individuals to fill positions for Spanish (European, Mexican) Subtitle Editors/Gaming Editors. Our company is the leading subtitling company in North America and is responsible for subtitling movies, video games, television shows, etc. Please take a look at our website located at www.sdimediagroup.com.
Please take a moment to consider passing our job description on to potential candidates. We are looking specifically for candidates who have an expert level at writing Spanish as well as a high level of English comprehension.
A simple explanation of the Subtitle Editing is: workers will watch movies or TV shows, in English while spotting/Quality Controlling the foreign language subtitles looking for errors and making corrections; the Gaming Editing requires translation of English gaming terms into the foreign language. For those living outside the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), we also would consider having workers do translation projects remotely.
We have both full-time and part-time positions (around 20/hrs per week) and flexible hours.
The pay for Subtitle Editing is $11/hr during the training sessions. After the training is complete we pay $12 per hour for the first 90 days, after which the pay will be $13 per hour. The Gaming Editing and remote translation pay by the word translated and allows for a range of compensation of $14 to $17 per hour.
We ask all of our applicants to complete a test of their language skills and computer savvy. The test will take approx. 3 hours to complete. Testing requires translation of English to the native language in a computer document. There will not be an opportunity to do a retest.
This position is great for those located in Toronto and new to Canada - workers do not need previous Canadian experience to do the job. Although our preference is to have individuals who have a valid work permit, we are willing to fill out a Labour Market Opinion for those who excel on our language test.
For those located in the GTA please send your resume to hrtoronto@to.sdimediagroup.com. For those outside the GTA, please send your application to ourCulver City head quarters at hr@sdimediagroup.com.

Best regards,

Valery Kondratiev Valery.Kondratiev@sdimediagroup.com
