I just like it when my parents bought me toys and stuff, since I was raised in Ecuador i enjoed what ever was given to me to matter the price tag.. and u kknow something my son i the same way

Hey I admited that I was a brat

When I was a kid I made snobby friends and my parents were trying to give us the best that money could buy. Looking back they say it was a mistake but they were just trying to compensate for the fact that they worked like dogs and were not around much

I am trying VERY hard to make sure that I don't spoil my daughter but it's hard.  You will see.

Actually X....I have been working since I was VERY young.  I went out and got a job at Mr. Bagel when I was practically a kid.  I have never stopped.  I was not a teen that depended on my parents for clothes and extras.  Of course they would get me stuff anyway but I always made my own money.  I worked  one job or another all through school.  Everyone wants the best for their children and if you can afford to give your children the best...you usually do. 

Sometimes not having much as a child will make you spoil your kids more...sometimes not but either way it doesn't make you a better person because you had to go without just like it doesn't make me a better person if I was given a lot.

I used to love that joint too!!!!  I guess growing up in Parkdale, I wasn't aware of what was RICH and what was poor.  Bargain Harolds rocked!!!!

Who remembers that food joint on the 2nd floor or wherever? 

Anyway, my mom would take me there, buy me a hot dog, and put me right on the counter and then from there she would just start shopping in the women's department.  I loved her for doing that because I hated shopping and every 2 seconds I'd see her head pop up to make sure I stayed put.

My reward???  Running all the way downstairs to the toy section after!!!! 

I went there a couple of months ago with El Pibe and the food place was gone but then when I ran down to the toys, all those memories came flooding back and the scent of cheap toys brought so much joy to my heart!!! 

I think I bought a colouring book.
