@ LB- LMAO! Oh, I know, when he said, "Any Filipinos in the house?", me and my sis (along with other flips in the ACC) were like, "WOHOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOWOWOW!" and then he went on about his joke about Indians and Filipinos always hanging out together, lol. SO TRUE! LOL!

(filipino accent)- "I was just wanting to, you know, look por sum jub ooportoonites", LMAO, My abs are still hurting to this day, lol.

LOL@jobs in Dubai- so true, lots of filipinos in Saudi and Dubai! And they're all there for jobs, heheheh!

LB- wow, you had jerks for security! Our security guard told us, "As long as their still pictures that are taken very quickly, you can take it, but not for a long time, otherwise, you will have to leave". He was really nice, he even took our group photo!

Nice summary of the basics of the show. I loved the intro as well. Made it all exciting! At our show (Tuesday), his mom came out and introduced him. That was so sweet. He received standing ovations for his entrance, as well as his departure.

Yea, the "sold out prediction" was pretty cool, actually seeing it materialize was emotional :) Yeap, Scratch and Jr. Flo (Dj's) were amazing. Great sets! Nothing like the old and new school remixed!

LOL@ "Somebody's gonna get a hurt real bad"...lmao.

How about... (indian accent), "Too good! Too good! Fantastic, mindblasting!", LOL!

hahaha....yes that was funny!!

I really loved his DJs....they hyped him up so much and were so proud of him you can tell.....and I looooooved how they played old school R&B the hour before Rusell came on stage.....the stage set up reminded me of a NY DJ battle set.....

I had about 7 security guards and his brother guarding our row (4th row)....so imagine....everyone around me had a camara and no one took pics....I snapped 2 really quickly at the very end....because at that point, who cares if I get kicked out....lol

I must say that he looked very skinny....but also very old....older than his age....and on TV his hair had canas already.....

Nice article!

That same bouncer told me NO CAMARAS...if I see it you lose it....lol
and yes they did drag out people that snapped pics or recorded anything.....his brother was running around with a laser beam and spotted people from a mile away.....and yep, those people got kicked out....no hesitation....

The simple truth: Whoever loaded that DVD onto the 'Net made Peters a millionaire.

Who's to say it wasn't Peters' people? ....this is what artists and comics do....
very smart move....

And Russell is super intelligent to be targeting all nationalities in his stand up instead of poking fun at 1 or 2.....

I thought it was very cute for boxer LENNOX LEWIS to introduce him...and I loved the background "ALL ROADS LEAD TO BRAMPTON" and the 2 DJ's that played and hyped for him.....

For me personally his Trini accent is the best! .....

I liked how he picked on every nationality possible.....with the right stereotypes....

His whole family was there....his mom, his brother (who is also his manager)....and all his friends form the industry were there front row...(singers, rappers, comedians, cousins...etc).....and a lot of Indian Media was there supporting him.....

I loved the multicultural crowd.....the ACC was RAMMED PACKED!! ....lol ...(I just wanted to say that)  biggrin ....I went on Monday, it was sold out!

He gave out free Tshirts and stuff at the end....and came out to autograph them in the lobby.....KAOS....

The intro video was emotional, showing his family, him growing, his gigs over the 18 years...etc....and they showed a clip from last year, how a comedian friend of his predicted that Russell would have 2 consecutive sold out nights at the ACC....."Air canada centre is gonna be rock'n roll for Russell".....AND HE WAS RIGHT!

Russell was emotional.....almost in tears 2 times.....he got standing ovations.....wasn't prepared form an encore so he had to do his "somebody gonna get a hurt"....and the crowd went nuts, of course.....

Old stuff, new stuff.....I would pay to go see him over and over again.....he's hilarious!

Wow, that must've been quite something to see. It's got to be really emotional for someone like Russell, a local boy, to sell out the ACC. Good for him.
I'm glad I saw him in Brampton last year though. Big ginormous shows don't really do it for me... I like the cosy ambiance. Plus he sorta interacted with us (no.gif) for a bit, which was a highlight for me. But I'm really glad everyone enjoyed it.
And to think he owes it all to the power of the internet. jawdrop.gif

50% yes but the funny classic stuff....the other 50% was picking on the audience and talking about his experiences living in LA now....etc....he also picked on new nationailites and their stereotypes....

And yeah the Ecuadorian "cabezon" was so proud of being an Ecuadorian Cabezon.....LOL.....(hey...he got a Tshirt) lol

@ Danny-  yes, of course he did :) He was making fun of the Mexican sterotype (ponchos, long mustaches), the heavy accents, and he also picked on a guy onstage- he said, "What kind of latino are you"? and the guy says, "Guatemala", and he said, "I love the way you latinos say where you're from, its so accented, "WHOAA-TEH-MAHLAAAA", LMAO, and he kept making fun of how some ppl. talk all normal, but when it comes to saying what country you're from, all of a sudden, the accent comes out, lol. You had to have been there, its not as funny as actually hearing it, lol.

@ MJ-  Thanks, it was great, now Im looking forward to possibly going to another show, lol. I love these events!

A few of us went on Monday.

Also packed!!! He got a standing ovation at the begining and end of the show. He was almost about to cry both times.

On Monday he did make fun of Latinos. Mainly Ecuadorians. I'M NOT HATING OR MAKING IT UP. HE REALLY DID! There was an Ecuadorian guy sitting close to the front...and he make fun of the size of head and generalized it to all Ecuadorians. Also on how spanish people in general say their country name. That's all.

Besides that....the show was great! Waayyy better than the show he did at the Rose Theatre.

What can I say, this show was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!! The best!

I've never been to the ACC or have seen Russell live, so, yesterday was a great night! Not to mentioned that it was packed! 15000 strong.

He had some old material, but the whole two hours was a whole new set! Of course he made the general (good hearted) racial jokes, acknowledged everyone there- "Where the Arabs at", "Where the Chinese at?", "Where the Filipinos at", etc. His bit on the Chinese accent was so funny, my abs are still hurting. Of course he said his classic line, "...Be a man"

The Indian accent that he does was always great too- made alot of jokes about old school parents vs. modern day parents (i.e. don't be afraid to hit your kids, etc.)

Were any of you guys there? If you wern't, you missed a great show!

"...Somebody's gonna get a hurt real bad!....." LMAO!!biggrin
