Oh and one more thing, my dad got me into this stupid habit, but I always tip the guy that sprays my car before I go into a car wash. I Tip The Person That Does The Final Detailing.
I know some pple don't understand me when it happens but I refuse to tip is i didn't get at least a decent service. It is not my obligation to do so and I have no problem what so ever to tip more than the "minimum" if such thing.
I just thik that being polite and pay attention to your table is not too much to ask and please....don't try to come back to my with attitude or smart a$$ comment. Some of you know what i mean
I understand you Yes I do
I wish I could but there's just such a high level of weirdness I can understand and you (and most of you here) are waaaaaaaay off the chart.
Are you supposed to tip masseussesses?
Was there a happy ending?
I can't believe that took me a while to get... I'm waaaaay too innocent for you phillipinian pervs... Yes. Happy Ending. Not the kind you're thinking of.

I never tip cabbies, hair stylists, bartenders that only open a beer for you, and servers that only show up at your table with the menu and then with the bill...

I have. And they annoy me! How come I cant take a piss without some dude trying to hand me a towel or hairspray?
Anywho mitad, Im just saying... one should never feel obligated to tip.. it should be at ones discretion and will.
the one place i don't like to tip is them people in the washrooms at clubs.....what is up with that job anyways? i tip them anyways but it bothers me
~X
See... this is the issue at hand.
Why does everyone feel compelled to tip even if they are not satisfied. Is a tip not the result of great service and being satisfied with the services that have been rendered?

i tip everyone just like princessa stated i even tip my godmother lmao when she does my hair dont ask!
But even if the service if bad i have no shame and Orale will tell you that i will let them know that the service was not what i expected! but i still leave a tip!
So, if i drove all of you someplace, then sat you down, served your meal and then cleaned up, would no one give me a tip??
Que codos!

What do cabbies make? If they get paid decently, then I'll stop tipping. Otherwise, if they make what waiters make, then I'll gladly tip them that extra quarter or so.
Oh ya I also don't tip at washrooms in clubs. WTF is up with those people anyways? Some are pushy and almost demand a tip. Sometimes I just feel like pissing on a $5 bill and throwing it at them
FYI . . . In Most Cases Male Washroom Attendants Work For Tips Only, They Are Not Paid By The Venue And The Products They Offer Such As Hand Towels, Gum And Cologne Are Their Own. At Bars, Clubs Or Lounges I Always Tip For Great And Faster Service. *Minimum 15%*I Have Also Tipped Mc Donalds Employees In The Past, But Only On Holidays When I Know I Would Hate To Be Stuck In Their Position. Question For You . . . Have You Ever Tipped A Taxi Driver? If So, Please Explain Why ?
I have only been in a cab two times in my life and no I did not tip. Was I supposed to?

let me give you an example....
I went to a restaurant y'day with a bunch of hungry and paying customers. We got there and were all enjoying a great time, laughing and talking and cracking jokes and stuff. Our waitress gets there and asks to take our order, we tell her. As we're telling her what we want, her eyes and attention seem to drift towards the table beside us, causing her to miss some of our order, essentially messing them up. She takes forever plus a day to bring our food, to bring our drinks and to bring some forks. Due to the fact that she was too busy concentrating on the chisme of the table next to ours she messes up an order and when asked to correct the mistake she replied the following: "Is that a big deal"
WTF kind of service is that?????
What kind of a tip does this chicky deserve? I'll tell you what... a tip on where she can get "the guide to waitressing 101" is what.
Anywho Bonita, what I said above was not to be taken as gospel, but rather as sarcasm. If service is provided, then service should be compensated; no, GOOD service should be compensated, not just any service. Also, the fact that a server EXPECTS a tip, is not correct, at least in my books. You ARE getting paid to be there and you DID in fact choose to be there... a satisfied customer has the option to choose to compensate great service, but should never feel obligated to do so.
I dont think anyplace deserves a tip... thats your job damn it! Youre getting paid to do it, so do it.
You dont see anyone trying to tip me here at work. ex. Hey Chale, heres a tip for that document that you did up for me! Great job

I was with you until you mentioned that no tip means the server pays for you to have a meal. The customer is under no obligation to leave a tip and if service is indifferent or the food was ill prepared then a low tip is reasonable. if it is 'expected' for a client to leave a tip then there is little incentive for a server to provide exceptional service.
I do agree that the wages are ridiculously low and should be increased. There are some benefits to the tipping system though... owners pay low salaries and the staff get extra money that is likely not declared for income tax.

if service is decent, i always tip 12 to 15% of the bill.
that's all i can afford -in order to do it on a regular basis, anyways.

i HATE those guys... and I also hate the common bathrooms where both guys and girls go. You cant be all fixing your bra or skirt or panties when guys are right there checking you do it.
