Anyone know if it's possible to enter an undergrad program PART TIME???
I really want to go back to school but I can't afford to not work either.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Real Estate? So it's not "real" school You can get your licence in 6 months, under $1500 and mostly at home. Just saying You'd have to work on your people skills though
Real estate bores me to tears!!!

@ Miguey - oh plz. u nerd. LOL j/k hun. U say it cus ur now done.
did it and more babe, did a masters degree too. and im going to be doing another masters degree next year. so ill be in school till im like 31. if MJ starts now, she would be done before she reaches my age!
you can definitely do a degree part time. i did my undergraduate degree part time (took me six years). don't worry about how long it takes, just start and do it
also if you keep working, you will get a lot of your money back that you spent on tuition in income tax. you'd be surprised at how much - makes things a lot cheaper.
and yes, you need a 4 year undergraduate degree to apply to teacher's college (which is an extra year).

You want to go back to school but you dont know and you can't afford...what exactly are you asking then ?
Funny, how you're the only one who didn't understand the question.
@Guada: I'm a firm believer in working my a$$ off now to reap in the benefits later.
@Luna, X, and Princessa: Chank you very much!!! I found a website that shows schools that offer undergrad programs via online learning.
You can definitely enter undergrad programs part time. I took a few night courses at York and they were packed with people who were taking part-time undergrad degrees. It was taking them seven or eight years to do so, but they were doing it. And I also found they were a whole lot more serious about their schooling than my daytime classmates. I'd suggest a place like Ryerson, 'cause they give you theory and practice in one shot. Plust you're nearby. Check out their website. As for teacher's college, I have a family member who's a teacher and it took her one year to get her teacher's college diploma. But you do need to have a BA in something. And they ask for volunteer work of some sort in teaching.
I don't think i'd do well in online learning, i need human interaction! what am i supposed to do? eatluch by myself?
I had a classmate named Luch. Is it the same guy?
Wowsers! small world! but no, i don't know him, and i know you knew that i meant luNch.

ya... i have a love/hate relationship with online learning. I attempted many times when I was in college to take online courses but I just didn't have the motivation or accountability to do it. The only course that I ever took online and completely successfully was the Sex and Humanity course...
@ X - online is not that crappy, just that you need to be a very independent learner & a very good reader to understand it all & figure things out on ur own most of the time, althou u do get some staff support, just not the same as in class learning.
If any1 can do online course, I gotta say I  cause I tried it & boy is it hard. I barely made the grades. I was every where but no where on my final exam.
Oh wow! Really?? *yeesh* Well I really don't have a choice. I can't afford to not work.

@ X - no way maybe college, but at professor in University needs major schooling, not just experince.
Anyhow MJ to go to teachers college you need a min. of a 3-4 yr. degree of some sort & then applied to teachers college, where i think my g/f did one yr combined with her major. So it work wonders for her. My sis-in-law is in her process of appying to teachers college & boy it's tons of work, volunteering, schooling, etc Not easy to get in.
In another hand to ECE that u can do in a college level & part time.
Also u can go to university part time, cause i also looked into it, just that it will take FOREVER!!!
most universities if not all of them offer part time undergrad programs... go to their websites and do some research.. tons of great programs. JU CAN DO IT!!!
Wait a sec MJ...luna is right, now that i think about it, I have 2 friends that did this......but they had to go to Buffalo for 1 day for teachers college because they didn't get in to the ones in Toronto.....it took them a long time but they are doing it.
Woman you're doing volunteer at the THS, then you work full time, and now you want to go to school part time?
are you a robot?

Well, just the other day, I was thinking of how much I hate all the little kids that will be spending their summer playing and having fun so I thought to myself, "EUREKA!!! I'll be a teacher!"
So since I was pretty darn good at history, I was thinking of taking that!!!
i don't think u can do teachers college part time but i do know that if u have a lot of experience on something, u can become a teacher at a college or uni just by going from ur experience.
~X
Ok. Thanks.
