Those are just some of the things I like to go for when I visit. They may not be the best - as in healthiest - choices in food; but MANNNNNNN, those things are deliciosos and bring back memories cuando era chico!

Confu: Don't be shy to visit LOS MERCADOS to eat some TRADITIONAL Ecua food: Try them Ceviches de concha, pescado, camaron, mixto; try los encebollados y carne en palito que venden por las calles, tripa asada, maduro asado, empanadas, etc - but before doing all that, entrate a una botica, aka farmacia y comprate algo para los "corridos" just in case! giggle.gif

You'll have a blast!  Just leave your Argentinian arrogance at the airport! LOL! :)

When in Guayaquil...you have to go to la calle "victor emilio estrada"...thats where all the nite clubs are at.  You have to visit the Malecon...it was newly renovated and looks amazing!

In Quito...yes la mitad del Mundo is definately a spot to visit as well as El Panecillo.  Y los ceviches del Ruminahui are amazing!

Ok back to la costa....you have to go to las playas...Salinas, Montañita, Punta Carnero, Vallenita...amazing!
And if you're smart you'll wake up nice and early and go to da mercado and eat un buen arroz con pescado! Ñññññooooooooo...I'm getting celeso!

In Quito check out el centro historico . la mitad del mundo which is north north of the city la avenida amazonas is like a downtown young street with bars clubs and all.

Check out los ceviches de la ruminahui for some fine ecuadorian foodwink theres a few located around the city. La avenida de las naciones unidas is nice too alot of malls to shop around.

About ambato. I would know much, i do know that it aint the city festivals durind that time. But im sure there is still more to do there.

Gauayquil is amazing so i heard.
