so you had a DATE? who's the lucky stud muffin? AND HOLD ON.. you have CHILDREN?!
Sorry... one last comment. I agree with Dogo... even though it was NOT LB's fault, an apology is still necessary because ppl would have b!tched if she hadn't. Silence is far more damaging.

I think that of course she -and everyone involved- would have to apologize. Would you expect anything less from LB or DC? Would you prefer they kept quiet as if nothing had happened? I dont think I, or anyone, would respect LB and DC the same, as promoters, if they hadn't apologized. It shows they take responsabilitiy for their actions and their team's actions Obviously everything that happened was out of their hands (now that we know) and I suppose its the case most times I mean, who reeeeally WANTS to cancel their concert? but unfortunately it will always fall on the promoter/s backs, whether its their fault or not, so, in the concert-goer's eyes, they'll always be accountable for what happens. BUT! there are different ways to apologize or "explain". One is like DC and LB did, and the other, from another promoter -that someone posted on another thread- is.. well. It is what it is.

I dont think u should be apologizing cuz you did nada wrong i think Prestige needs to send out an apology and explain what did happen weather it be on TLN or TH magazine or somewhere so they can clean up there name! but on the other hand ppl talk smack because look how many times sabor has messed up and still has a following so ppl who are saying that Prestige here and there yes but we all know that in the future we will attened another event!! they will just have to prove themselves! and Luis D will have to apologiez for his comments thats about it!
Nothing personal at all Chale.....I just feel that the blame should be distributed equally.....because this was a team production..... But like you said if it's based on an idividual's reaction, then I can't really do much about that but speak for myself.....
so are people going to get their money back?
are u for real mitad?!?!?! they used that money to get the private plane, don't hate, appreciate!!!
~X
I thought the airport was close for the nasty weather
I guess the "CEO" has hook ups or something, I don't know

@LB I don't thin you need to explain and apologize, what made this worse is the CEO of Prestige comments, I found them out of plac, maybe you can teach him hot to handle the situation.

Thanx LadyBug for the apology but there was no real need for it, I know u always work ur a$$ off and I'm sure that night was no exception.
My problem/disappointment is not about how hard people worked to get/keep the show going is more about how the latin community gets always treated like we are second class citizens by everyone else and specially when it comes from another latino.........I mean JuanK put up some points as to y most of the people are mad/angry with this whole concert and like u said we have our right to be.
Nothing can be done now but I do hope the "promoters" learnd to be a little more professional about things and not play around with the community that supported them. I find it very unacceptable about what happen that night, you guys want us to think about u guys but u guys don't think about us the people that did what they had to do to support you. LadyBug, I hope u don't take my post personal or as an attack towards you, I'm just voicing my thoughts and oppinion about the whole thing, I mean, is not the first time a concert has been put together.
Thanks again for ur apology and like Juank said "Don Chelo gave us a humble explanation and he had all our support like you do."

I don't take it personally.....you are right in what you say.....
Same answer as I gave your mitad.

Thanks for the apology. I dont think that YOU personally anyone owed an apology, the comments on the other thread were more so directed at "Prestige"(as a whole, not personally) and also the CEO who spoke (quite rashly in my opinion) on behalf of all the staff at Prestige. His comments and words were really not of a humble man trying to apease his disappointed concert goers, but rather were on the note of 'well at least they came so shut the **** up'.
Prestige really shouldve handled the situation with a bit more class/organization/humility/etc. Its really too bad that Prestige's name was being blared from every angle on the screen, no doubt to promote the company and so that the concert goers would know who to thank and applaude for the great concert. But what really ended up happening was that now people know who not to support in the future.
It really was too bad the way this concert was handled, it couldve been a great success.
Again, nothing personal against you LB, but maybe it would be wise for LD to eat some humble pie and do the right thing.

@ Don Chelo: Thanks again for being so super humble and setting an example for the rest. Your actions and words spoke much about your character and your sincere humbleness.

Thank you very much for your words. The problem was the attitud that the "CEO" of Prestige had. He lied saying that they got this so-called private jet for the artists when obviously the AIRPORT WAS SHUT DOWN DUE TO MOTHER NATURE, every hour anouncing that M&A were backstage (another lie) was unacceptable, he trashed the spanish community blaming all the bad things on us, insulting us, saying that we are ungrateful, ect.
A kind explanation, would have been more than enough. A delay plain is nobody's fault. In any event things can go wrong, Don Chelo gave us a humble explanation and he had all our support like you do.
Thanks for taking your time and letting us know what really happen.
As fas as the MC announcing that M&A were backstage I don't know what to say......I guess it was probably to re-assure people that there was no cancellation....again, I don't know what else to say......he should not have announced that and if I was inside listening, believe me I would have done something about that....
yup, that was the stupidest thing he could have done, I mean does he really think we are that stupid?.....that was the main reason people started to throw things at the stage.
Orale, mi comandanta Farah, that's a long-ass apology. I need a summary. What's going on?
The apology is not long Buffy....it's just my 2 cents and how bad I feel because I don't just organize these types of events....I also go to them......and can you imagine if the MANA concert had such a delay in NY? ....So I know what everyone is feeling, whether it was out of control or not.....

Coccinelle, no apologize needed. Well all know that things can go wrong and that you as well as Don Chelo worked very hard to make this night a great venue. As for Palazzo "issues", it is completely out of your hands since this is the club responsabilites.
OMG yup VI VI VI Visioneros, love them, very nice guys. When isthe next presentation with th guys that plays the guitar ?
It's not just me and DC....Luis D and the rest of our team also worked very hard......the outcome was just unfortunate......

@ Don Chelo: Thanks again for being so super humble and setting an example for the rest. Your actions and words spoke much about your character and your sincere humbleness.
Many of you on this foro know that I was very much involved with this Monchy y Alexandra production from the pomotional aspect as well as the logistics. A team of us, including Don Chelo and Luis D, were involved from the beginning and we have worked really hard to provide you guys with the best possible Bachata concert and I think that up until the delay everything was going pretty well.
It's unfortunate that they were so late and as the ONLY person who alone went to pick them up from the airport, I am also the only person who can vouch for the delay/cancellations of their flights. THIS IS NOT A LIE. I wasted my whole day and my driver's day with the airport drama.
Their delay is NOT Prestige's fault. Prestige tried bringing them here a day in advance but they have had a fully booked schedule. No one can predict the weather nor the future. Prestige did what they could on their part and had no idea things were going to turn out this way. It was smooth sailing up until the flight delay and as a result, we're all unhappy and unsatisfied. I'm sorry.
As a loyal concert goer, I fully understand why everyone is so upset and you are in your right 100% .....in your shoes I would have reacted the same way.
If I could have even cloned myself in 10 that night to clean the washrooms, fix the sound, bring more beer, help out with coat check and even fly Monchy y Alexandra's plane....believe me I would have. I'm not scared to work...lol The staff at Palazzo also had responsibilities to their patrons but they did not live up to them and Prestige is also being blamed for that.
I want to apologize to everyone from this foro who went to the concert and eventhough an apology now means absolutely NADA.....I don't know what to else to say for how bad I feel after reading all these comments.....I found about all this after the fact....simply because I MISSED THE ENTIRE CONCERT! I spent more time outside Palazzo and at the airport than I did inside the venue. I'm also not happy. I worked really hard all month, and was hoping to enjoy a little bit of the night with all of you but I was too busy trying to get the duo to the venue so you guys can enjoy a good show. Unfortunately things turned out this way and luck was just not on our side.
My artists (Visionero & Adriel) worked really hard on their presentation and I'm still kicking myself for not being able to see it and see the crowd's reaction, but by reading some foro comments, I'm so happy and proud of them.....they are amazing guys on and off stage.....and they looked so cute!!
As an active member of this production, I will take the blame for everything I can, I feel bad for those who left early and missed the concert and I feel awful for you guys (foro people) not having a good time. If there's anything that I can personally do, please speak up.
@ Xavier, Princessa, Chale, Confu, Phanta, Julie, Padrino, MEGA, Angelita, etc etc etc etc...... I'm sorry to have dissapointed everyone.
AND IF I DIDN'T SHOW FACE YESTERDAY WAS BECAUSE I WAS STILL WORKING.....THE CONCERT MIGHT BE OVER BUT THE PRODUCTION IS STILL NOT FINISHED....AND UNTIL THEN I WILL BE WORKING AROUND THE CLOCK (LITERALLY) SO I'M SORRY IF I DO NOT SHOW FACE EVERY SECOND TO REPLY TO EVERY SINGLE COMMENT MADE.
Your heart is too big sometimes, you know that?!
You don't need to apologize for things that were beyond your control. Everyone here knows you and DC worked your a$$es off and put no less than 100% into everything.

Dat's muh Ladybug!!! Sincere and boasting with humility... I just hope next time M&A come back that they get a better venue. Ya tengo el machete listo for anyone who tries bashing on her...
