Hermanas y hermanos de Toronto who went the concert last Saturday (or Sunday !!), I would ask the promoter to organise another of Monchy & Alexandra (totalmente gratis ) during Latin Fest despues del nacimiento del bebe de Alexandra. A solution has to be in order to please everybody without exception. Hoping that what happened last weekend will not affected badly future latin event in T.O. To Ladybug and your team, don't give up and we are behind you, things like that can happen and it is an occasion to learn from it.

Many of you on this foro know that I was very much involved with this Monchy y Alexandra production from the pomotional aspect as well as the logistics. A team of us, including Don Chelo and Luis D, were involved from the beginning and we have worked really hard to provide you guys with the best possible Bachata concert and I think that up until the delay everything was going pretty well.
It's unfortunate that they were so late and as the ONLY person who alone went to pick them up from the airport, I am also the only person who can vouch for the delay/cancellations of their flights. THIS IS NOT A LIE. I wasted my whole day and my driver's day with the airport drama.
Their delay is NOT Prestige's fault. Prestige tried bringing them here a day in advance but they have had a fully booked schedule. No one can predict the weather nor the future. Prestige did what they could on their part and had no idea things were going to turn out this way. It was smooth sailing up until the flight delay and as a result, we're all unhappy and unsatisfied. I'm sorry.
As a loyal concert goer, I fully understand why everyone is so upset and you are in your right 100% .....in your shoes I would have reacted the same way.
If I could have even cloned myself in 10 that night to clean the washrooms, fix the sound, bring more beer, help out with coat check and even fly Monchy y Alexandra's plane....believe me I would have. I'm not scared to work...lol The staff at Palazzo also had responsibilities to their patrons but they did not live up to them and Prestige is also being blamed for that.
I want to apologize to everyone from this foro who went to the concert and eventhough an apology now means absolutely NADA.....I don't know what to else to say for how bad I feel after reading all these comments.....I found about all this after the fact....simply because I MISSED THE ENTIRE CONCERT! I spent more time outside Palazzo and at the airport than I did inside the venue. I'm also not happy. I worked really hard all month, and was hoping to enjoy a little bit of the night with all of you but I was too busy trying to get the duo to the venue so you guys can enjoy a good show. Unfortunately things turned out this way and luck was just not on our side.
My artists (Visionero & Adriel) worked really hard on their presentation and I'm still kicking myself for not being able to see it and see the crowd's reaction, but by reading some foro comments, I'm so happy and proud of them.....they are amazing guys on and off stage.....and they looked so cute!!
As an active member of this production, I will take the blame for everything I can, I feel bad for those who left early and missed the concert and I feel awful for you guys (foro people) not having a good time. If there's anything that I can personally do, please speak up.
@ Xavier, Princessa, Chale, Confu, Phanta, Julie, Padrino, MEGA, Angelita, etc etc etc etc...... I'm sorry to have dissapointed everyone.
AND IF I DIDN'T SHOW FACE YESTERDAY WAS BECAUSE I WAS STILL WORKING.....THE CONCERT MIGHT BE OVER BUT THE PRODUCTION IS STILL NOT FINISHED....AND UNTIL THEN I WILL BE WORKING AROUND THE CLOCK (LITERALLY) SO I'M SORRY IF I DO NOT SHOW FACE EVERY SECOND TO REPLY TO EVERY SINGLE COMMENT MADE.
Just like I told Don Chelo, it is very professional and classy of you to apologize sis. We all know that you guys moved heaven and earth (or at least tried to) to put this concert together. I didn't go to the concert but I have read your comments,. and I am gonna speak for myself,. I have seen LB works,... so Ladybugcita,. I think ur apologies show your professionalism and respect for your supporters,. and over all the great person that you are,..probably unecessary ,.but honestly I think that the reason why everyone was upset is because they felt insulted but some comments made by the MC ,.. I think Prestige entertainment needs to clearify things,. and keep good ppl like you but their side,..

The public isnt upset that there was a tornado... the public is upset at the disrespectful nature in which he lashed out at all latinos in this community. His words were not of an apologetic business man, but rather those of an ignorant and self righteous man without the least bit of humility or recognition of his mistakes.
En conversación con TorontoHispano.com, Luis D, representante oficial de Prestige Entertainment, empresa organizadora de dicho espectáculo, explicó que los retrasos se debieron a la cancelación de 3 vuelos aéreos en Dallas, Texas, ciudad donde los artistas se habían presentando la noche anterior. Según el señor Luis D. estas cancelaciones se dieron tras la azotadora tormenta que cayó en el norte de Texas y deshabilitó aviones y pistas de despegue. El concierto estuvo a punto de cancelarse pero hicimos lo posible para que se dé a pesar de todos los inconvenientes afirmó el productor.
Le pido al público muchas disculpas por lo sucedido, fueron problemas ajenos a nuestra administración. Pido un poco de comprensión ya que problemas naturales que causan cancelaciones de vuelos pueden suceder cualquier día sin previo aviso. Explicó a nuestra redacción Luis D. El productor se mostró frustrado por lo sucedido, y explicó que hizo todo lo posible para solucionar el problema y continuar con el show. También explicó que otros problemas surgidos esa noche como retrasos en la entrada y en el coat check se atribuyen únicamente a la administración del local, a quiénes Prestige Entertainment ya ha presentado una queja formal.

It has nothing to do with whether I like them or not. In fact, I've never even heard of them but perhaps I've heard of their music. Eitherway, I think you're a LITTLE on the extreme side with that statement.

I guess what seemed to bother me is that in comments in the foro, it appeared that whoever was speaking on behalf of "Prestige" yesterday seemed to have no remorse de lo ocurrido. And that is what bothered me and I guess several others too.
This was probably going to be "THE" Best concert of all time. Attendance reflected that and generally speaking the organization of the evening was not bad...although room for improvement as we all know was in order.
I personally appreciate you putting your face out there for this concert, but you are not the person that needed to do that, in my opinion.

Why would that be a joke? We are talking about multiple latin award winning artists...this could have been a very very good concert and the attendance demonstrated that. Maybe you dont like them but many people do.

maaaan... and I had already put away my torches and pitch forks... but oh well, Thanks LB for the apology, We know that acts of nature are well beyond anyone's control but like everyone else has already said, the delay could have been handled a little more proffesionally (again, we know you werent there, but that's still the company as a whole's fault) As a concert promoter Prestige had a responsibility to provide the people with their money's worth so I do believe an apology to the community was called for.
I agree with whoever said that Prestige should purchase a full page on el popular or somewhere and issue a formal apology specially after the comments made by the directive of the company, which I notice where carefully avoided in your reply.
I really dont think anyone thinks a personal apology from you was necessary although it is much appreciated and unexpected. We know you did your best and worked very hard to put all of this together and that even you cant stop tornados, however, I do hope that knowing how hard it is, next time your essay writing finger is itching u will stop and think before you start typing.

LaDyBuG...you are the sweetest! I thank you for you apology and concerns. But really, i don't think you should be apologizing. Out of the whole team production, only both you and Don Chelo have expressed your sincere apologies. On the other hand, Prestige did the opposite on apologizing and that was wrong. I know you and Don Chelo personally and i don't doubt for a minute, that you both went out of your ways to make the concert a successful one!!
