Hmmmmmm, seems our little friend Google was right:

What Dogo needs is a laptop that costs his school less than $300 and is so simple and secure that Dogo can use and maintain it by himself.

Dude is not worth to buy a used machine....for 379 you can get a brand new from dell ...and u have the warranty.

You're right
That's just the CPU though. A complete system is around $700 (maybe even less) still pretty good
That's why I assume you can pick up a used set for a couple of hundred bucks. I wouldn't buy it for more than that

@daeveed.. it's for very basic use... not for me
I'll definitely consider the Mac when I get my next computer

So wait, Genie, you're saying you have friends with trucks that keep having thing 'fall"? can you specify what kinds of things?


Oh and yeah Dogo, not that i care but like Mc said, factory direct has got some good stuff, and there is one close to home. They carry a lot of new and refurbished stuff. But like i said, i don't care.

Thanks Buff, but I'm not much of a "virtual" shopper, for things like this, but I'll check it out in case there actaully some stores that carry used systems

MM, thanks, they don't have any used desktops in stock though. and the laptops they have are a bit too 'rich" i'll check later on again

Where's X? didn't he at one point post a place for used PCs?
